The 900E is an awesome set, we have one at Best Buy. I'd love to get this one to put in the bedroom to replace a 40" Vizio D series we have.

The 900E looks like a good tv, but SONY always has to overcharge for their TVs...

I remember about ten years ago talking to a Best Buy employee about Sony products and something he said stuck with me forever. He said generally speaking, Sony products are the best. But are you willing to pay 25% more for 5% better?

Not always true but wise words nonetheless. And I say that as an owner of a Sony X800D TV lol.

What's interesting is the 900E is basically at the same price point as the P65 was when it 1st hit market I believe

I saw the 65 inch model for $2500 on Best Buy's site. Maybe the smaller models are better priced I haven't checked.

I think this used to be true 10 plus years ago. I remember when Sony used to make walkmans and discmans and they definitely made the better stuff back then, but I think they've fallen behind since then especially in the tv market. They make great stuff but you rarely see them ranked #1 anymore.

Oh I agree with you 100% Artman...I think they've fallen off their perch a while back now. One thing I will say for them is that unlike most other companies, when you buy a Sony product, you almost never get a bad product. They're not the best anymore in alot of aspects. But I don't think you'll ever be unhappy with a Sony product. You just could probably be happier with something else.

Hey guys, I wasn't sure where to ask this so I am asking here since there is a lot of discussion and help on newer 4K tvs.

I am hoping I can get some help here. I need to be able to use a headset to TV at night and as much as I did tons of research on 4k, HDR, COLOR GAMUT etc...etc... I didn't realize to check to see what ports these TVS have.

I recently bought a 65 inch Samsung curve TV the KU7500.

I have had my 50 inch plasma since 2008 and on this TV I had all kinds of hookups on the back and never had a problem getting sound thru a headset and thru the TV.

Now on my new TV KU7500 there is no longer a headphone jack, they have these 2 pieces for Component end and a AV in, but I have tried both of these and still no sound at all.

Does anyone know how I can get sound on this tv to go to a headset? I bought the Hyper X to test, but nothing seems to work. I own a Bose system that I use optical on if that matters.

Dang, guess I should have gotten the 55" version. Ultimately went with the 50" because it was $100 cheaper, and I was already over budget @ $399.

Well if it makes you feel any better I remember they said the difference was small but go with the 55" if given the choice and the funds. I believe the difference was the input lag was slightly better on the 55" over the 50".

For your headphones what are you using? Optical is what it sounds like from your comment (or are you using a stereo 1/8" jack??). I looked at page 16 of your user manual and the TV should have an optical out on the back. So have you tried that to your headphones?

Here is the online user manual btw
