I never have seen avatar. I went to buy it one but I guess you had to buy it with a TV or something and it was going for like $1,000 on eBay

It's actually a good movie. The Avatar World is simply beautiful..

Changed from Theater to Standard Mode, as the colors didn't seem right. Sure enough colors look much better and have some pop to them

Does anybody have a fix for a stuck pixel on the ks8000?

I have one pixel that's bright green in a horrible spot. Noticed it tonight turning on BF1. Sucks

Not that I've ever had a stuck pixel issue, but do you have the Disney WOW Blu-ray disc? If anything could shake it, hopefully its pixel flipper program could.

Hopefully you're either still under warranty or they will replace the board. Don't think it's as simple of a switch as it is with a plasma, though... may require just replacing the entire set.

So no Disney WOW BD, correct?

EDIT: Okay, this is not the same thing as what is on the WOW disc (plus it's not an algorithm), but hopefully it's violent enough that it can actually "unstick" the pixel regardless...

I wanna say Netflix has something for this type of thing. I remember seeing they had some sort of TV test thing the other day.

Put the test on the TV...man I hope that works. I'll let you know if it does.

                      Hopefully it does!

The pixel flipper on the Disney WOW Blu-ray disc is an algorithm that attacks both stuck pixels and stubborn image retention. It looks more like a snow screen. That is the only one that I have actual faith in. If that doesn't work, you would definitely have to get your board/panel replaced.

NOTE: I don't know how many hours it would take, either. Only conventional wisdom I would say is running the pixel flipper overnight and hoping for the best. Unfortunately, those discs are so darn expensive now that I don't know if you'd have a shot at owning one of them at this point.

Just picked up the Sony 43x800d. Got it open box at Best Buy for $547.

Anyone have a link to picture setting that would look great on Dish Network sports and PS4?

                                Sony x800D settings

Took me a while to get settings that I was pleased with on this set. Mainly because the reds are so intense. I'm pretty much set with my settings for gaming but still tinker here and there for my settings for watching sports and whatnot.

                                Gaming:

                                Picture mode: Game
                                Auto Picture Mode: Off
                                Brightness: 20
                                Color: 50
                                Light Sensor: Off

                                Advanced Settings:

                                Brightness: 20
                                Contrast: 90
                                Gamma: 0
                                Black Level: 50
                                Black Adjust: Off
                                Adv. Contrast enhancer: Off

                                Color: 50
                                Hue: 0
Color Temp: Warm (for PS4, for Xbox I use Neutral)
                                Adv. Color Temp: Default

Everything in Video Options I have set to Auto

These are what I use to watch TV:
