The thing with the protection is you can add an additional 2 years to the 5 years. Plus, power surge protection.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I've bought appliances over the past few years and refused to get the in-store extended warranties.
The included manufacturer's warranty is usually one year and your credit card usually has first year protection.
TVs are fickle though so that's why I'm asking what guys here have done.
Anyone here opt to not insure their TV?Comment

I feel the same but was looking to get a consensus.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I got the Samsung ks8000 55 inch tv back in November and now I didn't get a extended warrantee but maybe I should I tend to have bad luck with tech lol. I don't know if it is a TV setting or what is going on but I have already had a little bit of tech issues with this tv and its sound. Some times the sound goes away and I have to like unplug and re plug the cable that connects the one box to fix it.Comment

Yea when i first turn the TV on thats when i have no sound, doesn't happen much, but shouldn't happen at all.
Great tv btw!!! Bought it in December, then bought the ks9500 in June for almost the same price. Paired with ps4 pro, cant wait for the xbox one XComment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
What are everyone's recommendations for a 50-55" 4k TV with HDR if I upgrade to the PS4 Pro? I'm looking to stay around $500. I see quite a few around that price range but can't decide which one would be the best.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
There's no difference performance wise between the 55P607 and 55P605 model, correct? I see that the 55P605 model is Best Buy exclusive but it's $50 cheaper, and all I can find is that the remote is different.Comment

Serious budget restraints. Is the Hisense 65" on sale now at BB for $850 something to consider for Black Friday? Need a 65 since I view from 12' in the family room.Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
When I built my game room about 3 years ago I put in a 132" screen with a projector and loved playing games on the huge screen.
When I saw the OLED though I went out and got the LG C6 and now I barely touch my projector. Last night I had some friends over to watch the fight and had both going with different content and man the OLED screen looked fantastic. The projector looks great and all but compared to the deep blacks and just the pop of the colors on the OLED it's all I game on now.XBL: Countach
