Enjoy. I just got my B7 on Friday. After performing some calibration, the picture is honestly breath-taking. Actively looking to get it professionally calibrated to take it to the next level.Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I feel the same but was looking to get a consensus.
I've bought appliances over the past few years and refused to get the in-store extended warranties.
The included manufacturer's warranty is usually one year and your credit card usually has first year protection.
TVs are fickle though so that's why I'm asking what guys here have done.
Anyone here opt to not insure their TV?Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I just selected the ISF dark mode, disabled all image processing, turned Sharpness down and used my Disney WOW calibration blu-ray with my Xbox One S, to set Brightness, Contrast, Color and Tint. If you play a 4k blu-ray or use 4k netflix on the Xbox One S and then put in the WOW blu-ray, you can calibrate the Cinema and Game HDR viewing modes as well. I also recommend reading Rtings settings article for the LG C7.Last edited by FlyingFinn; 08-28-2017, 10:10 PM.Comment

Also, do you think the remote is worth the 50 bucks for the non BB version? I was planning on just getting the BB one at some point...but if waiting for BF means a big price drop or something I'd consider that.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Sorry for the deluge....I'm excited though, got the 55" P series with fancy remote, amazon 3 year square trade for 680 out the door. Probably don't need the insurance, but 33 bucks wasn't terrible.
Gets here thursday!

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Need help... I can't HDR on my PS4 to enable because it keeps saying my TV is only HDCP 1.4 compliant, not 2.2 which it is (2017 LG OLED B7). Note, this is going through my AV Receiver which is also HDCP 2.2 compliant as my XBOX One S works without issue. Anyone have any thoughts?Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
On Playstation.com I found this article that says:
Note: The PS4 must be connected directly from the PS4 to the TV to output HDR. It can’t be connected to a receiver or switch box.
What a dumb design decision. I like to run everything through my receiver so I only have to calibrate 1 input on my TV. It makes things so much easier.Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Yes. If I go directly to the TV it works as expected. When I go through my receiver it doesn't. My receiver is HDCP 2.2/4K/HDR compliant and the like I said, the Xbox One S works as expected going through the receiver.

Wow, that's incredulous. I couldn't imagine not using my PS4 through my receiver, which is 4K-ready and the like.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
It is not as bad as I thought other than having to switch inputs back and forth. My TV has an "Apply to all inputs" in the picture menu and the primary input I am using has ARC enabled. So when I switch to the other input for the PS4, the sound is still outputs through my receiver because of ARC.
I am not sure if I am getting lossless audio from the PS4 anymore but there is nothing I can do about that.Comment
