For the price, you pay now the PQ is great and is a good size...Price is the winner hear above all

Enjoy the set man, for gaming is incredible
Yeah...there are totally better ones out there...just glad i found this before I got something lesser. Hate having to upgrade all the time, can't afford it. This can handle my 4k needs for the relative future Part of me is tempted to get something similar in a year for our bedroom if they get even cheaper lol

The 55” LG C7 is expected to be on sale this week at one of our local stores. Probably close to $2,000 CDN ($1,600 USD). Good deal? I hear good things, but also heard that it has burn in issues. Will be used to game (PS4 Pro) and watch movies.

That tv is super good...One of the best around....No worries on the burn in...

Only thing I do not like is the peak brightness being below 1000 nits...but still very good tv for gaming and regualr tv watching..

The TCL is still by far the best value if you want a 55 incher....for gaming

I'm thinking of grabbing the TCL 55p605. Too much quality for $600. Way too much risk in investing in $2000- $2700 OLED when it comes to the lifespan, burn in factor and technology of TV's.

That and I noticed the Best Buys around my area are starting to sell out of the TCL's. I swear its due to the soon the be released XBox X..lol

No, it's due to low manufacturer numbers.

I’m right there with you on the TCL. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to find in Canada. I asked Best Buy, local stores and they can’t get their hands on that model

So we likely won't see it discounted come Black Friday?

agreed, I have had my set now for 5 months and love it like I did when I bought it.

Whatever the reason, they are literally selling out of the Best Buys near me. Two stores said they sold out recently and the last store had one left. I am now a proud owner.

I did ask a couple sales associates if they would be getting this back in stock. One said no, the other wasn't sure.

What do you mean 'whatever the reason'? He just told you the reason lol.

Maybe you didn't mean it like that but it reads like you were being dismissive of that fact.

I can get the LG OLED55B7 for $1,999 CDN. Taking the night to think about it and do a little bit more research. Any help from the crew here would be appreciated!

if your tv is mainly for movies, sports it is hands down the best you can get in terms of pq. The OLEDS are all awesome for that purpose which is the main purpose after all right?

In terms of gaming I will not get an OLED because as awesome as the PQ is the fact that it still cant reach 1000 nits of peak brightness is a killer for ME personally for HDR gaming.

Most games are now HDR and pretty much all future games as well. The OLEDS only issue is that it cannot pump out the brightness like Sony can.

Besides that everything else is awesome about those sets

Some of Sonys for that price range can pump out 1500 to 1700 peak brightness which will make HDR gaming incredibly.

Not to mention their tvs have incredibly blacks and color reproduction as well

You could save some money if gaming is real important for you that you want the best HDR performance and get the Sony 930E in 55 inches for about 400 less than that price or the 65 for a few hundred more than $2k

If movie watching and games are both equally or gaming just a perk for the new set than go with LG
