So another individual had the same issue but at the bottom of the screen. He was still under warranty and Samsung replaced the entire screen for free, shipped with the bezel attached. All they do is remove the screen and place the internal components over to the new one.

I hope yours is still under warranty and you go after this!

I would think it would be. I only got it back in April. Thanks for your help.

Ok so I just turned the TV on and now those pixel lines at the top of the screen are gone. Hmm..weird.

Maybe a software glitch that was patched?

I got the TCL P605 delivered from Bestbuy on Saturday. I was going to wait till Black Friday ads before buying, but I was afraid that Bestbuy was not restocking this set. It's been out of stock for a month in my area. Nearest store that had it was 200 miles away.

I haven't watched 4K content yet, but now I'm ready for XB1. I did notice the black level was better than the Panasonic plasma it replaced. I'm not going to try and perfect the settings until I get the XB1 next month.

I was debating whether to get a new AV receiver with 4K/HDR capability. In the meantime I reconfigured the wiring on my current Sony 5.1 receiver, connecting the consoles directly to the TV and the TV to the receiver with an optical audio cable. Sounds great, so I can hold off on the new receiver.

Let me know how it pans out! My little sister is shopping for a new TV and I'm convincing her to get this one. Would like to hear more from the PS crowd if at all possible.

I too am waiting to decide whether it will lower in price on Black Friday. Really though, if she buys it later than two weeks from now, I can always work hard toward the price match in case it decided to go out of stock before that, as BF would occur during the 30-day return period by then.

If you can purchase with a credit card see if the one you have offers price protection. Discover for example will cut you a check if certain items go on sale within 90 days of purchase.

That is the best entry level 4K HDR set around PERIOD...Good buy for a great price...Only issue with that tv is the peak brightness but is still good enough to not hurt the experience. Great black levels and contrast and incredibly low input lag for a big screen.

                      Congrats

I'm out of the loop on all this 4k talk, will I need any special cables (HDMI cable 2.0) if I buy the TCL P series or any 4k tv for that matter?

Yeah, i've read articles that its 4K value is better than the expensive sets...meaning it's not necessarily worth spending more unless you're a huge video guy.

I've been very happy with it...great size, picture, etc. Don't really watch 4k stuff yet, but I like being future proofed a bit.

What makes the tv great is the price before anything else...It is a FALD and has about 70 zones with good contrast but lacks peak brightness to make it a great HDR set....The price is what makes it an incredible tv....You do not need to be a video guy to know that there are a lot better tvs but for higher price of course.

For the price, you pay now the PQ is great and is a good size...Price is the winner hear above all

Enjoy the set man, for gaming is incredible
