No no, if it's on sale right now you buy a new one for that price. Don't open it. Take that item and later say "Nah I don't want it," returning it with the receipt of the one that is on your wall with a trashed box.

Receipts don't have specific bar code signatures for each item or anything, unless it's not the exact same size, model, or color.

the serial number wouldn't match on the receipt with the new TV. Unless Best Buy code their receipts differently then Walmart, but I know with Walmart every TV, phone, console, etc. that is electronic over a certain price, the serial number is scanned. If that number don't match the item, you can't return it.

Didn't used to be the case at Best Buy, but perhaps things have changed or it's different with bigger items of like $1000 or more.

I looked further into this and I was actually able to do online chat support with them to request a price match and they did! Thanks for mentioning this, just got me $300 back!

I decided against an outdoor TV for now... Instead I upgraded my livingroom TV to a C1 and I'm going to move my LR TV (Vizio M1). outside and just do a better job at keeping it covered when not in use.

Now my three main TV's (LR, BR, mancave) are OLED [emoji3]

Hey Scott, is there a big difference between the Cx and the C1? They look very similar on paper and it’ll be my third oled for a gaming room I want to do in my house.

4K 120hz Dolby Vision gaming firmware update released today for the CX in South Korea. Weill trickle out to the rest of the world through the end of October.

Doesn't look like the update is coming to the C9.

In Dolby Vision and with low latency?

It can do it in regular HDR, but not in Dolby Vision. Just like Sony TVs can do it in regular HDR, but not in Dolby Vision. Dolby Vision drops things down to 60 unless you get an update to allow 120 Dolby Vision. Just like LG can still do game mode in Dolby Vision, but most brands can't do game mode in Dolby Vision.

Oh I am confused by all of this not a tech guy lol. I got the 55 inch CX around 4 months ago upgrading from the Samsung ks8000 led tv. First OLED I have ever had. I know most consoles games are still 60 rather than 120 fps. I did try Tony hawk 3-4 at 120 but only for like a few minutes.

I posted this on a different thread, but I’ll also post it here. So I just got the C1 for my man cave and noticed Dolby vision is darker than HDR10, but I think it’s because the series x has an HDR10 calibration tool which allows you to set the brightness correctly. When and if Microsoft adds a Dolby Vision calibration tool on the Xbox then it’ll be just as bright as HDR10.
