And my theory on people's personal opinion of The Beatles, is if you don't like them, you just haven't heard the right songs. They were a very diverse band that had a little something for every body.

They were a band that showed the effects drugs can have on a bands music

The 60s had so much going on it is ridiculous. I mean, you had blues and soul hitting their stride, with not only new talent but the living legends finally getting some type of exposure, the off-shoot fuzzy blues, the Beatles transformation from rockabilly covers band to professional boy band to "experimental" not to mention their Who rivalry, the British blues invasion, jam bands and festivals, folk and folk rock, the foundations of metal, funk, and country rock.

            Velvet Underground

Also have some Elton John, Billy Joel, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Jim Croce, Simon and Garfunkle, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, James Taylor

Some stuff are full greatest hits albums and some groups I just have the few songs I know.

Also currently downloading a torrent a bunch of other oldies songs that aren't exactly rock.

Already have had for several years now pretty much everything by The Beatles and the Monkees thanks to my sister, as well as a lot of Pink Floyd and Zeppelin I've gotten myself.

As much as I love modern rock, punk, 90s alternative, metal, ska, etc, I'll always love me some classic rock, 70s folk rock and oldies. Also dig some 80s music too. My taste in rock is all over the map haha
That's a solid list. I especially love the Beach Boys, love that harmonious four-part style (I'm a choir nerd, and as such, I've always loved that kind of music, and the way they put it in a pop setting is absolutely brilliant), CCR and BTO are awesome, the Who are solid. Love the Eagles, including their newer stuff (they started going country a few years back, it's actually pretty good stuff) and Steppinwolf is one of my favorite bands ever. Really good list.

As far as The Beatles go, I don't know, I've heard a lot of their music, but it just doesn't scream greatness to me, I'll go back to what I said about The Beach Boys above, and none of the Beatles stuff impressed me the way other bands from the era did, and I find Dylan's songwriting to be very underwhelming personally. That's just me though...

So I'm watching music videos of 80s music like Huey Lewis and the News, Peter Gabriel, and Phil Collins, and the banner advertisement I keep seeing is for a new music video of some Nicki Minaj song featuring Chris Brown.... Uh, I don't care. Nice job reaching your target demographic, youtube.

And with the Beatles, I think their middle era music (1965-66, specifically the albums Help, Rubber Soul, and Revolver) was when they were at their best. It was when they really started establishing their sound before they started experimenting with drugs haha. As a whole though, my top 5 favorite Beatles songs are probably:

              For No One
              In My Life
              While My Guitar Gently Weeps
              We Can Work It Out
              Let It Be

So many to choose from though haha

While it's undenibale both Revolver and Rubber Soul are masterpieces, I enjoy Abbey Road and Let It Be just as much if not more at times. I think the White Album had some great moments (Dear Prudence, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, and Rocky Racoon to name a few), I think it would have been better as a single disc. The last half of Abbey Road is one of my favorite sections of any recording ever. Pure genius how they took a bunch of incomplete songs and made them all work like they did. No way, I could pick a top five!

Yeah, the White album has many great tracks, but with 2 discs it could have done without some of the crazy "out there" stuff like Revolution #9 and Wild Honey Pie haha. And, it's hard to pick a top 5, and thanks to my sister having all of their major albums on CD, my Beatles collection on itunes is 255 songs, so there's a lot to choose from. But if I really had to choose 5, those would be it. But of course that leaves off a lot of gems like You've Got To Hide Your Love Away, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields Forever, A Day In The Life, the ones you mentioned off The White album..... the list is endless.

If you guys haven't already, I highly suggest going to see Rammstein in concert.

Saw them for the 2nd time on Thursday and it is thoroughly unbelievable how amazing a show they put on.

                    Just, wow.

Haven't seen them in person, but I watched their Volkerball concerts and yeah, they put on a great show indeed. Definately someone I would enjoy live.

I'll bet. They're one band that I really hope to have the opportunity to see live. They have so many great songs: Du Hast, Sonne, Feuer Frei, I could go on...

Not the best band I've seen in concert, but out of all the bands I've seen, Green Day puts on the best show.

Muse puts on a fantastic show, but compared to Rammstein? Not even close.

                            Rammstein is pure theater.

Never really got into Rammstein. Never really thought Du Hast was all that great, and I don't speak or comprehend german haha.

Green Day put on the best concert I've been to back in 2010. Played for 3 hours, a lot of stage antics, pyrotechnics, lights, etc.
