I don’t know if they’ve fully confirmed but they’ve at least strongly hinted that it’s gonna take more than one season to do the 2nd game.

After the 2nd game it will be interesting. They’ve said they don’t want to go ahead of the games but obviously that could change with the shows popularity. We still don’t know much about the multiplayer game and if that is something that could be adapted. A 3rd single player game sounds a long time away if it happens

At least they can be in production simultaneously. Seasons and 3 won't be coming to us till 2024 and 2025 at the earliest anyway.

Enjoyed the finale. Interesting how for me, while they basically stuck to what happened in the game, watching it vs playing it definitely gave me very different reactions. Probably some of the acting is responsible for that too.

Can’t wait for season 2, will probably replay the 2nd game to tide me over

As someone who didn't play the game I don't care about it's correlation with the series. In all honesty I wish TLOU was original so it wouldn't have to conform with video game events.

My simple rule of thumb for a good season finale is to give the fans some satisfying closure or semi-closure to some aspect or aspects of the show and then throw in a cliffhanger that challenges the protagonists into the next season. The former was not achieved and I didn't know how I felt about Rambo-Joel until he offed Marlene. Joel and Ellie are great, and I'm still looking forward to season 2 but I wished they had more storytelling flexibility.

Normally I wouldn't care how closely something sticks with source material, but I love this game solely due to exactly that and hoped they would tell the same story on a different medium, and they did. I feel you though!

Much, much longer story, along the lines of a 12-15 hour play through to a 25ish hour play through (on the fast side for most people I think).

It was essentially 2 separate stories (each about as long as the first game) that converged. You played two different characters

^ This is correct, and that was absolutely the right decision to make.

I am interested how Season 2 will be produced, though. TLOU Part II is a much longer game, and I don't see how to chop up the narrative into only ten episodes. Either it will be a longer season or it will be two seasons in length. If they decide to stick with that game's through line, I am genuinely curious as to how they decide to tell its narrative and how they might shake things up as well.

The first game was an incredible experience......the 2nd game took that to a level I did not think it could top.....and it did.

An epic, intense game. Amazing story, amazing set pieces. The next two seasons of TLOU are going to be amazing.

It was that good of a game man. And based on how awesome they adapted it in season one.....wow. Season 2 and 3 are going to be brutal and epic.
