Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread
F1 2019 is awesome. I wasn't even an indy car fan but bought it on a whim and it's great.

I agree with Scott, the new cards will be dropping soon and if you can't afford the new ones the older cards should go on sale.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

So the Ryzen XT CPUs came out. Honestly they could have kept that. Just higher binned X chips.Comment

People are waiting on the 4000 series anyway.
There is no way Id spend money on that, unless im starting a fresh new building, but even then the advantages over the cheaper X series is not an advantage at all... .no need to even bother.Comment

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread
Just picked up F1 2020. Massive improvement over F1 2019 in many departments. But I'm a huge F1 fan so I always grab the new title when they come out each year.

I ended up getting an Egva 2070 super which isn’t giving me any issues like the 5700xt was. Now I need to find a good high refresh 1440p gaming monitor. I currently have a 4k 60 monitor.

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread
So I have my separate drives (SSD & HDD). I've moved my typical save folders to the HDD (documents, pictures, music, etc).
I had moved some games I already downloaded onto the HDD to keep room available on the SSD. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I can do that with Steam games. Is the only way to play Steam games from the HDD to move the Steam program to the actual HDD? The other gaming services will let me download anywhere I want.
How are you guys setup with dual drives?

I think you have to go into steams settings to move the games to another drive.Comment

If you don't seer an option to select the directory when you click install then just go to
Steam > Downloads > Steam Library Folders
From there you can assign different folders for Steam. Regardless of where the file is located, you can still run it directly from y our main steam client.Comment

I don't until I want to get a little more out of an aging proc or gpu. Otherwise I run stock and only adjust fan curves. I find blue screens, microstutters, and other weird issues far more distracting than the 8 to 10 frames you gain.
Some people love OC and spend time trying to squeak every bit they can out their hardware, im not in that group lolComment

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread
When you click to install a game from your steam library you can select where to send it. Less relevant in my current dual SSD system, but in my old system with a 512 SSD and a 1tb HDD: I set up steam folders on each drive that I could then quickly send any install to from a drop down menu. Modern games went on the SSD, older games and games that I just wanted available to play if the mood struck went to the HDD.

I'm not sure why I didn't think to look in settings first. Super simple to setup and like you said there's a drop-down menu to pick for installations now.
