All he needs to do is fly the Falcon, be a smooth-talking nerf-herder, & shoot scum first.

I'm excited to see if Luke has become a badass Jedi Master in this one. I'm not even worried about the physical aspect because 1) The Force, 2)They made Palpatine a frakkin' acrobat in Revenge of the Sith and I didn't give a damn.

I've read that Han Solo actually has a big part in these films? Either that fits the script or was what he requested to be involved?

That's what everyone is reporting. I highly doubt they'd cater to Harrison Ford that much to rework the script around him just for him to be involved. Surely, they have actual plot reasons to make his involvement large.

I wouldn't be surprised if Han Solo dies in VII. Harrison Ford always thought he should, but Lucas didn't want main hero characters dying (merchandise). Ford doesn't write the script though, so the smuggler might be around for the whole next trilogy.

And then they promptly killed DM, dropped the ball on establishing the badass villain( I know the Emperor is but, c'mon DM>Dooku, Greivious).

I'm cool with Ford having a big role as he was my favorite from the original. The best thing is that the characters in the movies are gonna be old too, so I don't think we're expecting Luke(probably a Jedi Master now) to go all Yoda in a fight.

Max von Sydow is ****ing bad *** and would be an amazing overlord type guy.

Big fan of Domhall Gleeson too. Really excited to see him among the new cast members.

                Really pumped to see this.

I really don't think Lucas thought Maul would be as well-received by the fans when he wrote the script, which sucks, because he could have been an awesome secondary villain for the 2nd trilogy.

He was only really awesome because of his looks. He didn't do much in the movie other than the end.

They have the chance here to go completely different with the idea that Luke has been corrupted and is the villain. I always thought black Jedi Luke from RotJ was the best part.

Are you suggesting Luke should be a villain? I'd go meh on that one. One Skywalker already turned to be saved by his son. Even if Luke doesn't end up being saved, it's just a rehash of what already happened to Anakin.

Im hoping they somewhat go the Jedi Academy rout. Luke is a Master with maybe some others that have been trained by him and the Trilogy follows a student or students who happen upon Sith and follows their fall to the dark side while another rises to the light side. To me that be a very interesting concept.

                                This times infinity.

It would completely eviscerate the existing six films, specifically Return of the Jedi, if you have Luke turn to the dark side in VII-IX. The Emperor and his own father couldn't persuade him to turn evil, but [insert inane new villain here] could? Weak, lazy writing. That's why I'm thrilled Lucasfilm invalidated all of the silly Expanded Universe, which usually just ran counter to the films and consistently tried to one-up the movies.
The Last of Us is the Citizen Kane of video-games. It is better than every game that has ever come before it, and is the new benchmark for all games to follow. It is nothing short of a work of art.
