Going to be interesting to see if the finale can fit in everything that the folks who have read the book hope it has.Comment

Re: Game of Thrones Season 4 (aka A Storm of Swords: Part Deux)
SpoilerThe difference here is that Jon goes himself, rather in the books Slynt and Thorne send to assassinate Jon during a parley. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out in the show.
ANOTHER BOOK SPOILER
SpoilerI was disappointed for the episode to end on a cliffhanger. I was excited to see Stannis, but I guess not. Next week it gonna be a packed episode, unless they push something to next season.Comment

Re: Game of Thrones Season 4 (aka A Storm of Swords: Part Deux)
BOOK SPOILERS
SpoilerSo next week is going to be packed with stuff if they fit in everything that was from ASOS. We'll have Tyrion escaping and killing Tywin, The Hound getting injured somehow (although it may come from that bite he got from Rorge) with Arya leaving him and boarding a ship to Braavos, Stannis attacking the wildlings, Jon being named Lord Commander, and a presumed final scene with the reveal of Lady Stoneheart.
If they do manage to get all that in its going to be one hell of an episode.
Sort of disappointed they captured Tormund, since the scenes with him leading the wildlings to the Wall against Jon would have been good. Guess it had to go this way with him being captured alive though, since there's no way he could make it back to the other side of the Wall since they decided to include him in the attack on Castle Black.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

He was General Veers in The Empire Strikes Back. Took out the rebel shield generator on Hoth with an AT-AT. He was also the bad guy in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Loved the job he did battling James Bond in For Your Eyes Only too.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Another fairly big departure from the source material. On the one hand I am disappointed but on the other I am excited to see what happens, not truly knowing what comes next.PS: You guys are great.

Tonight's ep was also amazing, by far the best battle scene I've ever seen in a TV series. Felt like a movie for sure. It was awesome seeing mammoths, giants and Ghost play a role. I wish it wasn't a cliff hanger though - we're going to end up getting something in the neighborhood of 55-60 minutes on the Battle of Castle Black. That's a lot of time and there's still so much to cover."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: Game of Thrones Season 4 (aka A Storm of Swords: Part Deux)
SpoilerThe main details are still the same, Jon sent out to treat with Mance, but why/how/when is different IIRC. Surely Stannis will still come save the day.
It was definitely weird seeing Pyp and Grenn killed. I was wondering who they were going to use as the replacement for Donal Noye. I don't mind having Tormund captured, hopefully that means more screen time for him in S5."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
