    Re: Survivor Blood vs Water

I'm surprised nobody is even looking for the idol at all, especially considering the numerous shots they've shown in the season where it seems like people are all over the island(like during that yoga scene, they were ontop of like a cliff or something that was far from the camp, and there's alot of grass and stuff behind the camp), so why not go look for the idol then?

Who needs clues, just go looking for it!

I still hope one day they hide the idol at tribal. Imagine going up to vote, and then the hidden idol is somewhere around that table that they vote on, would be so crazy how someone thinks they're voted out, they get the idol clue and then find(and play) the idol all within like 5 minutes.

I really think the idol rules need to be changed. The idol is more of a threat than a life saver. If you play the idol, and aren't voted out, you'll be viewed as a threat and will most likely be voted out at the next tribal council.

      New rules should be:

      1. Only 1 idol available for all tribes. But this idol is accessible by both tribes anytime while on the island.

      2. Idol cannot be shared with anyone. Once you find the idol, you must keep it a secret until you play it. Players that normally find the idol are tempted to share the news with a player to get their trust. Normally this backfires and results in the alliance being notified that Player A has the idol and is a threat and needs to be voted out before he can play it.

      3. You can play the idol AFTER the votes are read. This way, you can save the idol if you're not being voted out. Too many times (like in my example above) a player gets paranoid, plays the idol, only to find out that nobody has voted for them resulting in a wasted idol.

      4. Let the idol continue up until the final 3. I'm not sure when the cutoff is, but I think it's when there is 5 players or less. Letting you keep the idol until the final 3 gives it incentives for players to actually look for it.

      5. The only clue should be that there is an idol on the island. That's it. In the past, players have found the idol easily without any clues, so this shouldn't be hard to do for players that are determined to find it.

I disagree with this one, part of the beauty of the idol strategy is knowing when or when not to play it. Seeing someone get paranoid and play it unnecessarily is great, or seeing someone confidently hang onto it while getting voted out is awesome, too. Hell I even love it when someone times it perfectly and plays it when they're the target, the looks on the faces of everyone at tribal are priceless.

I think the idol works just fine. It's the very open and public way they are distributing the clues that is the problem.

lol ya. Like last season when Malcolm told the person with the idol to give it to him and they did, then he played it for himself and nobody even voted him out.

Or when two idols were given out during heroes vs villains season at tribal.

Moments like that couldn't happen with the old hidden idol rule. Only part of the hidden idol rule I hate is how it lead to James being voted out with 2 idols! If he played 2 idols in those 2 weeks, he prob would've made it to the end(and won)

TVGuide preview for this week makes it sound like: (talks about redemption and who might be going home)

                Next week will be huge.

Someone back in the game and the tribes merge! Will be interesting to see how alliances end up with the new tribe. And I'm guessing Redemption Island continues again(meaning 2 people are eliminated from Redemption this week and then we wait 2 more weeks until Redemption Island has 2 people to compete on it)

                  Nailed it!

Haha, seriously though, could Kat have been more annoying down the stretch? Groveling at Tribal last week after she blatantly ****ed up. Crying and whining about Hayden leaving her for not making it to the merge. Crying and whining AGAIN about it, then the cry/whine trifecta at redemption island. Good riddance.

What in the world was Laura B trying to accomplish by telling Vytas the plan? Wow. She really has no chance at RI. How funny was it when she said if she gets back in the game she won't align with the girls again?

So tonight rid ourselves of the immature and the amateur. I'm curious to see how the merge goes, and if teams of loved ones align against solo players.

There's only 2 teams of loved ones left(possibly 3 depending on how the redemption island duel goes), and a merge will have 11 people in the game. So 4 of them teaming up won't exactly have the numbers.

Vytas/Aras are most likely gonna be the targets(whoever doesn't win immunity goes home). Though if redemption island continues, I wonder if someone would want to get them out, knowing that if they get voted out in the future, they'd have to compete on redemption most likely against Vytas or Aras.

Oh man, Kat is so annoying. But the wife and I did laugh our butts off when she said that Hayden should switch because it's puzzles and "I can't even spell!" Seriously? Can you be even more of a stereotypical blonde immature female? I'm glad Hayden manned up and said you stay in RI and fight it off. I can win us (or myself) a million dollars. I would have probably lost it if he switched with her.

And when she lost and asked Hayden "Are you going to break up with me?"

If I was there, I would have thrown her in the fire.

And proof in point that some people are just not cut out for Survivor. Laura B, I don't know what the heck you were thinking but you're an idiot.

Kat should never be invited back on this show ever again. Such a terrible social player! Glad she got the boot.

A few of the returnees are only back because of their loved ones. Monica was only back cause of Brad. Kat was only back cause of Hayden. Candice was only back because of John.

But they couldn't have chosen a former player's loved that is a better player of the game?

They needed to make it even. Have some returning players who are good(and for the most part, their loved one isn't that good), and some returning players who aren't good(but their loved one is good).

Candice is back because even god hates RC.

And I have no problem with Kat being brought back. Every season needs some idiots IMO.
