I could at least see why AmEx had it, given they have fees on most of their cards. But considering I didn't even know I had it until it was mentioned in this thread, maybe that's how Discover gets away with it.

        Yep. Just wanted to share

When the ad's are released for the respective stores, I shall be going with my Discover, getting what I want, and grabbing the ad for a price match.

So I make the purchase, then once the ad comes out in the paper I physically mail the ad to Discover?

You call them up, or online chat. They send you some paperwork, you fill out a form and send it back with the ad. They then mail you your refund. It isn't a quick process, but it works up to $500 so probably worth it unless you only saving a few dollars. Read the T&C because it sounds like in the past, it was any ad period, so it didn't matter if it was some ridiculous sale, they'd approve it, but I'd make sure it still qualifies.

Only thing on the radar is an inexpensive passive 3D HDTV. Found a 46" LED 3D set at Walmart.com $400 including a 3 year additional warranty. ($340+ tax , $40 extended warranty) Went ahead and ordered.

Might find something comparable on Black Friday. Hoping for something from LG or Vizo (not sure if Samsung or anyone else uses passive tech)

If that happens, will cancel this one. As the old saying goes "Bird in the hand, better than 2 in the bush"

Just a few years away from being open on Thanksgiving all the time.

Anyone else here think the price of the PS3 could see a big drop on BF?

Factor in PS4 being released and stores wanting to get rid of the old systems?

Looking to pick one up on the cheap as a blu-ray player/entertainment hub to play movies and shows off my external hard drive.

Toys R Us has a $200 PS3 bundle. Comes with The Last of Us and another game. I posted the deal over in the video game deal thread.

I read another store had the same deal. So people are thinking it's a deal Sony is putting out.
