Got to GameStop 10:30. I was the fifth person in line. Five minutes later 10 people showed up. By the time the store opened there were about 30 people who had formed a line, most of whom were eagerly awaiting the beloved Xbox One & PS4.

I waited in the store for about twenty minutes before it was my turn at the register. The guy ahead of me did something different from everyone before him: he bought an Xbox One. He paid for his console and told me he looked over the register to see a little piece of paper denoting 6 available PS4s.

I asked for a PlayStation 4. The guy working behind the desk, looked down, then back up. He looked at me and said, "This is the last unreserved PS4 that we can sell." He proceeded to open the door and enter into the back room where he would grab what is now my PS4.

TLR: It was an anxious, worthy wait.

Doubt you can get a newly released system at a discount. He's just happy he only had to pay retail because he found one in store..instead of having to pay extra on Ebay etc...

Haha I certainly wasn't Debbie Downing, I was just making sure he didn't put a typo since it was Black Friday and all.

My bigger question really was is BF the only way to get a PS4? Like prior to today, was it possible to snag one in stores? I know you can't get it discounted, but maybe 2K14 at $50 and PS+ at $30. At most, he should have spent $490. Right?

EDIT: D'oy, taxes! Nowww it makes sense.

Drove by my local gamestop at 11:30 and at least 50 people were waiting outside. A bunch had chairs too.

I don't know what I was thinking. I sold my iPad Mini Wednesday so I wouldn't be shelling out $400 bones for a new one. Had the new mini in hand on Wednesday and then said I was going to wait two more weeks so it wouldn't be that much of an impulse decision.

Fast forward three hours and I couldn't imagine life without it. I said I was going to pick it up Thursday at 6 thinking it would be regular shopping until midnight. Boy was I wrong. Pull up to Best Buy and the line is barricaded around the store, easily 500 people in line and they were letting 5 people in at a time, forget that. I head to Wal-Mart and i've never seen such a mess.

It was people everywhere and buying a bunch of crap they would never buy lol. I saw so many people with vacuum cleaners that it didn't make sense. I get to the back like eh, they don't buy $400 iPads ever so today should be no different. Wrong again. They tried to get me to pay for the iPad today and said they would mail it to me in 7-10 business days. Yea right.

All that to say, Black Friday is now Black Thursday. It's ridiculous but that's America for ya.

Try Target. My local Target had a bunch of mini (no line) available plus a target $75 givecard. They were also handing out a 20% coupon effective 12/2-12/7 with certain restrictions. I think Frys is handing out $100 gift card with the purchase of a 16 gb mini.

My huge mall and Target were surprisingly sane, busy but manageable.

Best Buy was a mad house though, got like the last spot in the parking lot when I went this morning. I probably saved $100 on blu rays though when compared to regular price.

I'm going to get a iPad 4 off Craigslist. I ended up toying around with my moms iPad 2 last night and missed that real estate. I like the Air but I'd rather pay $350 and be done with it since the specs aren't all that different.

EDIT: Eating crow. I'm going to get the Air or rMini. I'm so undecided it's not funny.

Gamestop was empty on my way to work this morning. I got the PS plus 1 yr card for $30. And Payday 2 (360) for $20.
Then at amazon I saw Lego Marvel (XB1) for $40.
