I agree. Spidey was typically a loner in his "career", though did well with the initial Marvel TeamUp books. However, commitment to staying out of a group was his hallmark.

....and he's Peter Parker. That's the story.

      Spoiler
It would be Sony. They still have final creative control, they're still producing and distributing. Marvel get's they're say in now, but in the end it's still Sony.

And as already pointed out, Fantastic Four is with Fox, everything going on with that movie wise is all Fox.

        Re: Potentially, Another Spider-Man Reboot

I have to imagine they won't be stupid enough to give us a third origin story in the past 13 years. Just have an inner monologue or have Peter/Spidey stop by Uncle Ben's grave, maybe throw in a flashback scene, and leave it at that.

Supposedly they're "taking the character back to his roots" by putting him back in high school, which I don't know how I feel about that. That was what the intention was with The Amazing Spider-Man and they spent all of one movie having him in that setting, and then they couldn't move fast enough to have him graduate in the sequel. If they plan on actually doing it properly, then cool, but IMO they'd be better off just starting him off as a college-aged Peter.

College Pete Parker would be better. IIRC, that's the setting the cartoon used and he was old enough not to be annoying, but he was young enough to still be brash and full of himself.

I mean it could be fun if they actually go all in with the high school setting and do it right. The Amazing Spider-Man had a few moments playing with it, but I feel it could have been better. I'd like to see Peter have to race home to make it for curfew after a night out as Spider-Man or having to sneak out of class to go stop a bank robbery or something. Just little things of that nature would be fun to use.

I'd also like to see them throw in a full cast of characters into the school. I want to see MJ and Gwen, Harry, Flash, etc. Maybe throw in some other female characters like Liz Allan or make Felicia Hardy high school aged as well to change things up a bit.

I'm going to assume they'll probably avoid Gwen seeing how she was used so heavily throughout The Amazing movies, but regardless of whether they do avoid her or not, I want to see them do MJ right this time. She needs to be the exact opposite of what Kirsten Dunst was in the original trilogy and everything that MJ is in the comics.

I REALLY want to see a Civil War movie. They've unlocked most of the major players in it and grabbing the lesser known guys wouldn't be too hard. Good guys vs bad guys has been a fun wave but good guys vs good guys would be full of awesome.

Spider man was the missing link - they need to do it. They are already doing the CA Civil War piece, its time to bring them all in.

Yeah, this happened too late to make the civil war movie closer to the comic story.

They are doing a a civil war movie for the 3rd Captain America movie. It was rumored that black panther was gonna take Spideys spot but I'm thinking that this will be Spideys first appearance.

So Tom Holland will play Spidey in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War before the July 2017 release of a the latest Spidey reboot? They certainly are going young.

I am sorry but this is plain stupid already. Enough already with Spider-Man movies.

We have 5...5 already. And we are going on our 3rd Spidey now?

No thanks. If he shows up in Civil War it is what it is. But another reboot?

Not happening for me. I will catch it on cable.

While I am iffy my self because Garfield was perfect has spider man so most likely this new guy is not going to be has good. Also unpopular opinion but I thought amazing spider man 2 was good like really good and the amazing spider man 2 suit was perfect and the soundtrack was amazing to. So most likely the soundtrack, suit and person playing spider man is going to be worse even if the movie ends up being great. Even with that said we have know this news for months that spider man is in the MCU now. So of course it is going to be a reboot as he was sony before and not now with sony any more but MCU. Also finally just have to say the MCU is very overrated as the only great movie in the MCU is winter soldier.
