    Re: 2015-2016 TV Season

Christmas stuff and regular shows for most of past month, regular shows and shows i binge watch caught up on, for the months prior, and then summer before that. So now is boring part in terms of tv. Most shows i watch, have no new episodes till late February/early march.

And weather is supposed to get bad soon,so dont want to be going places during bad weather

Good to see Rob Lowe getting a Golden Globe nom for The Grinder. It might increase the chances of a renewal.

Finally some of my shows are back this week. New Blacklist, Supergirl, Scorpion and Big Bang this week.

I've even set the dvr to check out Jennifer Lopez' new show, Shades of Blue that starts on Thursday.

Angie Tribeca, the TBS police satire starring Rashida Jones in the title role will air all ten of it's first season's episodes within a 25 hour TBS marathon starting January 17th. Somewhat unusual for a non streaming entity to air all of it's episodes at once.

More unusual is that it's second season will start a week after it's first season. On January 25, 2016 TBS will begin airing Angie Tribeca episodes in the standard weekly format for it's season number 2.

Angel From Hell (Jane Lynch) was pretty funny. I think it's the first time they ever did an alcoholic angel

Don't see how this will last, it's either you love it or get tried of them trying too hard. It has some funny moments, but its non-stop spoof. There is basically no story to pull you in. I watched 3 I think and deleted it.

It's not a very good binge show for me, it did get a little annoying, but I think in the weekly format I'd love it. Plus I got sick of hearing the intro yell over and over. Some of the moments had me rolling, but the non-show parts like the little telethon thing they had going on in lieu of commercials was driving me crazy

Actually missed this. I'm going to see if I can pull it up on On Demand or Hulu. I have a little more patience where Rashida Jones is involved but I do have my limits.

Yeah that may have been a problem. I may watch season 2 one on Monday and see if it is better. 30 mins at a time may be OK.

I have no clue if TBS is really showing new episodes or not going forward. They are calling it new, but guide shows S1E1. They also had previously released info saying each episode is 1 season, so episode 2 is "season 2".

So looks like they are just replaying all the episodes.

My guide lists them as the same episodes from the marathon, and lists them as repeats.

As for the show itself, it was kind of a mess. They were really going for the old Zucker/Abrahams/Nielsen spoofs, specifically trying to recreate what Police Squad did to cop shows of that time and.......they tried, I guess? Some things worked, but most of the show was recycled gags and throwing everything at the wall and hoping something stuck. I give them points for trying to recreate the older spoof style, they just didn't quite get it right.

Yeah, the guide has the original air date for tonight's pilot as 1/17/2016, the same day as the marathon. Makes no difference to me, because I haven't seen any episodes.

Life in Pieces is probably my favorite comedy on TV now. The writing is gold and the cast is top notch. Check it out if you haven't already.

The People VS OJ Simpson:American Crime Story debuts tonight amid very good reviews based on the first six (out of ten) episodes.
