I went ahead and bought the book, as well as Old Man Logan (outstanding comic book), on my Kindle Fire last night. Gonna dive back into it today!

Yeah man. It broke my heart.

In fairness, the second half of that book is pretty "out there." I think there was a supernatural aspect that they just couldn't emulate in the movie. It was an awful film.

Edit: This might be why they never did a Bag of Bones movie despite it being one of his highest rated novels.

Christine is really awesome and if I remember correctly it's relatively short as well. I read that as a kid and remember thinking that the movie did a good job getting all the key stuff in.

Didn't do a movie but they did a real solid two part TV movie with Pierce Brosnon.

There definitely seems to be a preference to pre-90's King, which I can understand.

Have any of you guys read the Bill Hodges trilogy (Mr. Mercedes - Finders Keepers - End Of Watch)? They seem to be very well reviewed. I'll have to check them out, eventually

                  Re: Stephen King's "It" (2017)

I feel like a dork but I am obsessed with this trailer. Have probably watched it close to 20x. I have watched all the trailer reaction videos too that have over 10k views (or else I would be watching them all damn day lol). Pretty much everyone's eyes get wide at that projector scene. So creepy. Fun watching the looks on peoples faces, hope that doesn't sound creepy/stalker-ish.

I think Will Poulter would have been a good Pennywise but I am excited to see what Skarsgard does. I understand the decision not to include the Pennywise voice in this trailer as that is gonna be scrutinized no matter what so leave it for the next trailer. As one of the YouTubers said, "I don't need this Pennywise to beat Tim Curry, I just need it to be cool," and it seems like we will at least get that.

                  Edit:

I could see the voice being higher pitched this time around, with maybe almost a "Joker" kind of vibe

Edit 2: Can't believe I said Bill Curry instead of Tim Curry. Forgive me.

The original movie is the reason I didn't turn my back to a floor drain for a majority of my childhood.

It's awesome that this is probably gonna be the case with a brand new generation!

I just got finished transferring a crapload of comics and books onto my kindle. I need to get back into reading regularly

For the longest time I wouldn't go near the oven as a kid because that's where I thought Pennywise was hiding lol. Always had to make sure a dish towel was hanging in front of the little oven window too lol.
