So that was a huge plus in trying to find a replacement for DirecTV.

I have been pleasantly pleased with YoutubeTV and would recommend it to anyone who is trying to get away from cable or satellite tv.
PSVue has all these channels too plus MLBN, NBATV and NFLN. Since I watch Netflix and Twitch on the PS4, I liked the convenience plus the cost (was!) the same.

My chromecast gets choppy and quality is degraded sometimes when I cast YT vids or Twitch from my phone.

    How is YTTV with chromecast?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

And for me YTTV has excellent PQ. It's all a crapshoot.

I would have went with PSVue, but to only have recording for 28 days was a no-go for me. The wife and I usually record about half a season of a show before we can watch it, so we need the flexibility of the recordings and YTTV was the only one who offered that.

For me, YTTV does pretty welly with the Chromecast. Probably because both are Google. I didn't see any difference in picture quality or buffering. I also have a first generation Chromecast, so the newer ones are probably even better than mine.

YTTV quality was excellent for my on a Roku. Never stuttered and was flawless. Same with my Xbox One X. I guess YMMV.

PSVue has an option when you connect to a hardwire or 5ghz connection for “picture smoothing”. Make sure you activate that y’all.

              DirecTV Now is changing names.

              Dear Chase,

We’d like to share some new changes coming to DIRECTV NOW℠!

In an effort to deliver the best service possible across our products, we will soon be reintroducing the DIRECTV NOW experience as AT&T TV NOW.

In the coming weeks, your DIRECTV NOW app will change to AT&T TV, but will continue to deliver the same great streaming entertainment. As an existing customer, your service will carry on as usual without any interruptions.

If automatic updates are not enabled on your device, you will be directed to download the updated app when you login. Simply follow the onscreen instructions and accept the Terms and Conditions to update.

There will be no changes to any network apps you’ve signed into. However, if you’ve signed into any network apps like USA, E! or ESPN and decide to sign out, you will need to select AT&T TV as your TV provider the next time you log in.

For more information on what you can expect from the change to AT&T TV, check out this FAQ.

              Sincerely,
              Your DIRECTV NOW Team

I wonder if it will finally be out of "Beta" testing now since it still says it is beta in the app

Yea I’ve been wondering when beta testing will be done.

I just turn off notifications for games I'm watching live.

YTTV split with a couple friends is saving me so much money.

This! YTTV is still getting their 52 bucks a month after taxes and expanding their advertising.

The other thing is YTTV offers zero 4K content as well.

Amazon Fire TV Stick (4K) are now half price at Best Buy (or can be shipped from Staples):

Amazon - Fire TV Stick 4K with all-new Alexa Voice Remote, Streaming Media Player - Black

Got a couple of these a few months ago and they are now easily paired with your smart TV to control volume as well.
