Cable TV really is dying.

I started to cut the cord, but Spectrum made an offer I couldn't refuse. After refusing all of their offers, they finally offered me local OTA channels plus 10 national cable channels of my choice for just $11 a month, to go up to $23 a month later. I grabbed ESPN and ESPN2 as my only sports channels. Fox Sports Midwest was not eligible for the deal, because it is not a national channel.

So whether I keep the deal or decide to full on cut the cord later, I would still need a way to access FSMW if I want to watch the Blues and Cardinals. I may jump to one of the streaming options (PSVue, Hulu Live, Youtube TV, Slingbox, or something else, to get local sports, but so far, I'm not sure the pricing and available channels, as well as DVR functionality are what I want.

I use Spectrum cable and a TiVo now. Not only do I love TiVo as a DVR service, it's what my wife is comfortable with. If I make a change that loses us TiVo, there needs to be a good easy way to deal with that.

Honestly, if Hulu Live had AMC, we would probably be there already.

But local sports programming is a huge deal. They have lost me as a viewer because I don't want to pay for everything else just to get it. There is math there that should tell rights holders how much I might be willing to pay, and what I'm not.

I’m sure you’ve looked at your options, but I’d recommend PS Vue. I’ve only done the trial, but it was flawless. They offer some local/regional sports networks. Plans ranging from like $30 to $70, with sports and entertainment package add-on’s optional.

      NFL - Buffalo Bills

I second Vue. I added the package with Red Zone and that's how I watch the NFL when the Vikings aren't on locally. I've been very pleased with it.

              I 3rd Vue.
I have had it for about 6 months or so and love it!
I have the $44 a month package and get a ton of sports channels.
It has been absolutely flawless for me.
And $100 a month cheaper than cable.

I could see it, being the head of ESPN has to be one of the most stressful jobs in all of broadcasting.

So is Jameel getting scooped up by Fox Sports? What is she doing? Smith might be heading that way soon. ESPN had been reckless with their talent basically helping their competition to become formidable.

Not sure about Smith though he was said to be very unhappy that ESPN basically bungled things with him and Hill.

Hill is still affiliated with the network as she's mostly doing work for The Undefeated and will most likely make appearance on their various opinion shows. I believe she will also be doing pieces for OTL as well.

Just because you don't like her doesn't mean she isn't talented. I hate folks who pull that nonsense. Anyway,I'll put you on my ignore list.

ESPN let "them" win and I'll forever view the company through a certain lens because of it.

They both have lengthy (I wanna say 3 years), guaranteed contracts so they'll be on other platforms. Jemele has been in the Around the Horn rotation and hosted HQ this week.
