    Re: ESPN Cleaning House

I've been hearing those same "rumors" about Bomani getting fired for the last 2 years.

At this point, I'll believe it when I see it considering that ESPN loves the fellas who stir up trouble and/or gets people in an outrage so easily, especially on Social Media.

Don't take this in the wrong direction folks but I wouldn't be surprised to see Jamele (sp) Hill's name among the layoffs. ESPN can justify it and say "hey we fired 99 other people it's just business". I know a lot of folks in journalism, especially sports journalism will be up in arms if that happens.

It's just something to watch out for when the cuts are announced.

They would be idiots to fire Bomani. Dude is smart and funny as hell.

I know we talk about firings so casually in sports nearly all the time, mostly with regards to coachs, but it sucks that ESPN built themselves up so huge that people will have to lose their jobs as a result.

He has the lowest rated National Sports Talk Show on the air.
He has been dropped by 39 national stations.
They would be idiots not to fire him.

And that ESPN is going to say they are replacing him so he can work on a TV project.
But in reality they are replacing him because his ratings have dropped at an unreal pace.
I read yesterday he has been dropped by 39 national stations.
He honestly seems to know sports, but he usually refuses to talk about them.
Its like listening to CNN, if I wanted to listed to CNN I would turn it on.
I listen to ESPN radio to listen to sports talk.

And they way he deals with callers is just so arrogant and disrespectful.
Ding. They always tell on themselves.

This is how I know you never actually listened to the show and you're just parroting Clay Travis talking points. Bo's show is one of the most "stick to sports" shows in the lineup. In fact, his show is starting to turn ME off because it's becoming too much like a normal sports radio show.

The "rumor" is Bo's show isn't being cancelled. It's just going to be adapted to a digital format/podcast type thing. Every reputable sports media reporter has said it was his idea and he brought it to management.

I see your believing exactly what ESPN is saying?? lol
Everyone said that is what ESPN would say, even though in reality they couldn't leave him in that time slot because of the horrible ratings.

And just like about everyone else I don't listen anymore but I did for about a 3 or 4 months every night on my ride home from work.
The constant Colin Kapernick talk became very stale to me too.
I will agree, he is a very smart cat. Too smart sometimes and not afraid to tell you how smart he is. Again to each their own but I cant stand his radio show and apparently I am not the only one.

Agreed. Love his show. I do change the station if Clinton Yates is the guest host. That dude is annoying. I thought that Bo said he was going to be starting a new show co-hosted by Pablo Torre.

I like this idea a lot more than the single host show, those always agitate me, it's gotta be tough filling hours every day with your own content though. He and Pablo should have no problem filling time lol

Certain people don't like Bo's schtick but his show does a great job incorporating sports. As a matter of fact, he's definitely more "stick to sports" than LeBatard.

I also like Yates and think that he has potential.
