I know we talk about firings so casually in sports nearly all the time, mostly with regards to coachs, but it sucks that ESPN built themselves up so huge that people will have to lose their jobs as a result.
Conservatives don't like him, though. We are in weird place in regards to sports and politics right now. ESPN has been getting more and more progressive, and my viewing has increased exponentially. But that doesn't necessarily translate to bigger ratings.

It will be really interesting to see who is fired. I usually have ESPN on in the background when I'm doing some grading, but there are only a few programs that I pay attention to on TV or radio. Hopefully those people are kept.

I've decided who should be 1st on the cutting line:

          Joey Galloway.

I briefly watched the show of the CFP rankings and he's screaming about something...SVP comes on and calls them idiots, basically. I laughed quite much.

Speaking of SVP, I've said it before but I really hate how they're using him. He is one of the few hosts I enjoy, Trey Wingo being the other. I think ESPN is blowing a golden opportunity to do something like Comedy Central did with Jon Stewart and Colbert at their peak...a satirical sports show with SVP would be enjoyable, to me at least, as he's got the personality and skills to do it best.

I've seen Galloway sometimes on commentary and in studio and I agree he's horrid. You know who else sucks? The guy who's usually in studio on Saturdays with Mack Brown. I forget his name but I believe he used to be an O-lineman. I feel for Adnan Virk sometimes.

Are you thinking of Booger MacFarland? I like him, if anything I'd rather go without Mack, he comes off as a doddering old man to me

I'm still mad they got rid of my boy Danny Kanell.

I liked Kanell too, especially with Russillo, the ongoing thing with Kanell thinking he could STILL accomplish any athletic feat was gold. I figured with his versatility throughout the network he would've been a lock to stay, he was a good utility guy.

SVP is going to make it worse with his Sports Illustrated interview, maybe he is trying to keep his job. Just stop focusing on non-sports and maybe people will watch ESPN again.
