They were good shows but I would never watch old sports shows.
I already know the outcome of what they are talking about.
I have never heard of anyone wanting to watch all sports shows.
Nostalgia factor mostly. Sometimes you get a feel for how people were thinking at the time. I know one of the things I like to listen out for when i'm watching old NFL/NCAA broadcasts is how the analysts talk about some players. Sometimes they pump up guys who either had a very small impact or who were total busts.

As SPTO said, it's the nostalgia factor plus a little bit of historical value. Sometimes I'd almost rather watch the older stuff than the modern stuff.

          LOL!

If this team wins less than 5 games this year i'm pulling out the 1990 season and watching those games throughout the offseason.

Apparently Reali wanted to spice it up and make it more modern. I haven't seen the new format yet however what i heard about it didn't exactly wow me.

This feels like an "if it aint broken don't fix it" type of deal to me.

I haven't watched ATH in a while, but I always liked it back in the day. New format doesn't seem too crazy. Will be interesting to see. I imagine Reali just wants to do a little more than sit there and mute and award points. He has been doing it forever. It doesn't even really seem like a format change, just updating the set some. Unless I missed if they are changing the "rules" of the show.

Speaking of ESPN actually cleaning house, they gotta re-do MNF next season. It was no doubt a mistake throwing Witten on prime time. He needs to sign with CBS/Fox and do the noon Jets vs Dolphins type games for a few years.

What is the format now, can't watch - at work when it's on.

Looks like it has the same format but different visual flair (plus a new studio). They're using some sort of augmented reality.

This video has some bits near the end that show some items.

Booger makes it un watchable for me.
He interrupts Tessitore way too much.
I love Tessitore, Witten needs work but has gotten better IMO.
Booger going up and down the sideline on a cart and talking way too much is just bad TV.
