ESPN has a terrible bench. When the regulars of their shows go on vacation quality dips.Comment

Re: ESPN Cleaning House
When Mike & Mike was still a thing, Booger was on there a lot. I think he has a good personality for tv, and I felt that they misused the hell of him last year. Cutting to him sitting in his little scaffold-chair every week didn't add much to the show. He's far from the trainwreck that Witten was. I agree with what SPTO said about a three-man booth. They can make it work.
When I heard that Witten was returning to football, my first thought was to ask why. Then I got excited because I realized that he'd no longer be on MNF. I think that pretty much anything ESPN gives us this season will be a major step up from last year.Last edited by Pappy Knuckles; 07-16-2019, 11:58 PM.Comment

Stephen A. is today's Howard Cosell. I actually like Stephen A., he has an opinion and isn't afraid to give it. I personally prefer that to vanilla.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: ESPN Cleaning House
I like Stephen A. more than Jim Rome and am glad that ESPN has him, but he is overworked and I'm not a fan of him alone (like on his radio show) without his opinions being kept in check by other even-keeled personalities like Max Kellerman. I also don't like that I've never ever heard him utter anything baseball related outside of the current sign-stealing scandal, but that's the nature of the TV side of ESPN right now anyway.
Needless to say, he's good at what he does.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Or it could be that he doesn’t know baseball like that so he wants to abstain from giving an opinion on something he’s not knowledgeable on.
