Four out of every five tickets sold this weekend domestically were for Endgame. It's already over $350M just in North America.

Re: Avengers: End Game
There's definitely some issues if you put any thought into it.
Spoiler
What happens with the 2012 Loki that gets the tesseract?
How does Steve return the soul stone?
Doesn't Steve mess up the timeline when he goes back to 1945 and stays there?
But I enjoyed the movie so much that I'm fine with ignoring those issues.
Spoiler
When 2023 Nebula killed 2014 Nebula, why didn't 2023 Nebula die?
If 2014 Thanos died in 2023, did the Decimation never actually happen? Which means this whole movie never actually happened, etc, etc.
If Steve actually went back to the 40s and stayed, does that mean that none of his story actually happened, or did it all happen just with him marrried to Peggy and going back to her after every mission?
It's much better to ignore stuff like that and just enjoy the ride. It's the same thing I do with my favorite show whenever they do similar things.

Re: Avengers: End Game
No content spoilers, just pacing spoilers:
SpoilerI am fine with the scaled back approach and the build-up that there was, much like The Last Jedi. I sat through and enjoyed every bit of how they went about it, but it wouldn't be the easiest rewatch on that front for me.
The last hour definitely delivered atop most anything else we had seen before in the Marvel films, but overall Infinity War was the better film to me.
By the way, don't know if I mentioned this before, but the actor who played Hawkeye's son in Age of Ultron goes to a school that I have covered classes at before. I actually was able to in the afternoon last week, and subbed his Chemistry class. I overheard him talking to his buddies about seeing the film this weekend, and when I asked him if he appeared in Endgame, he said: "We'll see." Now that I've seen the movie I obviously know the answer to that.Last edited by Blzer; 04-28-2019, 05:08 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Avengers: End Game
Point being, all of this could’ve been avoided if Quill didn’t do what he did in Infinity War.
I blame him for everything that happened.#RespectTheCultureComment

By the way, don't know if I mentioned this before, but the actor who played Hawkeye's son in Age of Ultron goes to a school that I have covered classes at before. His name is Ben Sakamoto. I actually was able to in the afternoon last week, and subbed his Chemistry class. I snapped an unconvincing photo of him with my flip phone as I didn't want to make it obvious. I overheard him talking to his buddies about seeing the film this weekend, and when I asked him if he appeared in Endgame, he said: "We'll see."
Here's the photo I took. I should've tried harder to get him as he was looking up but he would've caught me haha.

Re: Avengers: End Game
Thought about it, then thought against it. Didn't want to draw attention to him with the class. When I found out about this last year or two years ago that he was the Ultron kid, it wasn't from him but from a classmate, and he wanted no part of that kind of attention. Seems like he prefers staying out of the spotlight. If I did that in class, it would just bring it all up again.

Re: Avengers: End Game
Saw this last night with a few friends thought the over all like story was predictable but some of the things that happend and how we got there where a big surprise. Not sure if I like the movie more or not than IW. I need to watch it again. I may try to get to a 3d showing soon. I always like to see movies in 3d but I have not in like years because ever one I known dosnt like 3d it drives me nuts.Comment

Re: Avengers: End Game
Anytime you involve what they did, there's always questions that lead to more headaches and more questions than answers. There's several more questions that you could also ask.
Spoiler

They answered that question pretty openly in the movie. Their use of time travel was that you can’t change what’s already done but create new timelines if something was changed. So that’s why 2023 Nebula didn’t die, it would have just created a new timeline in 2013 where she’s dead but Captain going back and placing the stone back to the moment they were stolen makes it so the timelines didn’t split off like the Doctor Strange lady said and 2013 Nebula would be alive

If it was as easy as returning the stones, then what's the point of killing Thanos when Tony did the snap? If they returned the stones and the timeline continued on like normal, that would mean that Thanos still gets the stones, and still does the snap. If past person dies, but doesn't actually die, then that means that 2014 Thanos is still alive and still coming after the stones.
They themselves would have had to create a new timeline, going against the rules they set.
Which is why I tend to try to not overthink time travel in movies, because it eventually all comes back to creating a new timeline even though the main goal is to not to.Boston Red Sox
