It's really depends on what you want.
It's a decent third person action game, but has absolutely terrible controls and most annoyingly suffers from the same braindead design as MGS2.
In both games on the hardest difficulty, I was unable to complete the game on the final boss. No, it wasn't because I failed to conserve ammo or health items, and it has nothing to do with my skill in the game. Why can't I beat either?
Because of ****ing button pressing in stupid ****ing quick time events. What does button pressing have to do with Resident Evil? I don't have a ****ing clue.
I'd rent it. It's easily beatable in a few days, and aside from the button mashing, it's really, really easy. I'd saying 80% of my few 10 or so deaths on the highest difficulty were from failing at button mashing. If you're good at that, the game doesn't offer much challenge.
