Should I wait to play the game before watching that?

I just finished RDR, I am like a night away from 100% so Alan Wake which has been sitting there since it came out will finally get all my gaming time. If its half as good as RDR was, its going to be great.

I finished this a few nights ago, which is a big deal for me because I really don't like to be scared...I never watch horror movies etc. And this game scared the absolute pants off me in parts. But, I absolutely loved it for the most part. Episodes 4 & 5 were pure unadulterated fun. It dragged a little after that for me, but overall I had a blast and I'm really glad I gave it a shot despite my phobia of scary entertainment.

I finished Episode Two the other night. I love the atmosphere of this game, its very creepy and very tense. This game is just amazing.

I have a question about the pages. When I go through the game again in nightmare mode, are the only pages left to be found are the ones in nightmare mode or are the normal pages that I missed there as well?

Was really thinking about stopping playing after episode 2 and just finding out the story online, but pretty happy that I decided to continue. Finished episode 3, 4 is tonight or tom. Glad to hear that 4&5 are good ones.

I easily liked 4 and some of 5 out of everything. Those chapters saved the game from being worse (imo), I sat through the 3rd wanting it to finally finish but it dragged on and on- I too thought about just stopping and reading the Wiki for the story.

Rented and the game was just... meh to me overall.

I ended up just watching someone on youtube play through it and it was basically the same stuff over and over. I also thought the ending was ********, glad I didn't waste my time trying to finish my way through it.

I have a hard time finishing games but this game is pretty damn good! I'm on episode 3 right now and everytime I play I have a great time.

So I just recently started Episode 3 and while I think the story is intriguing, the game is starting to get a bit repetitive. It seems like 95% of my time playing has been following trails in the woods and shooting groups of the shadow people. Is this the whole game? I mean, it's not particularly interesting to do the same exact thing over and over. Without spoilers, just give me a yay or nay.

I just finished the game and I am not sure what to think about it. On one hand I really liked the story but on the other I thought as a game it was rather boring. The same thing over and over again.

Weekend rental imo, not sure what to compare it to really.
