I love it. Played the game and all the DLC...brilliant stuff. Possibly the most atmospheric game I've played.

Really enjoyed Alan Wake, Enjoyed the two dlc the Signal and Writer as well and if there is another game will definitely buy.

Has a new game been confirmed?

There's supposed to be a reveal for more Alan Wake at the VGAs next month. According to the Daily Fix on IGN, it may be available only as DLC instead of stand-alone retail.

I finally picked this one up today with a B2G1 free deal at GS. Been wanting to play Alan Wake for the longest time and just kept holding off.

How long is the main game and are there 2 DLC's out? What is the cost of the DLC?

I can't remember how long the game is but I do remember loving every second of it. Great story telling...

I just beat the game and it's around 6 hours. One of the DLC is free on new versions of the game otherwise they are around $6 and last about an hour each which is a little pricey.

Thanks guys. I'm starting Chapter 3 right now and I am enjoying the heck out of this game. I understand that it does get repetitive at times and that the enemies aren't varied, but I care more about the story and the atmosphere is out of this world for this day and age of games. I feel like this is a Stephen King novel with some Silent Hill atmosphere for this generation of consoles. I'll check out the DLC after I finish up the main game.

Another game that I feel MSFT was so stupid not to really get behind for a sequel and not have faith in so were releasing the next one as an XBLA game.

I just finished Chapter 3 and while it was a very very long chapter, the atmosphere continues to suck me in. The story continues to feel as warped as ever and I like the mini-boss fights that get incorporated along the way as it helps break things up, but also too you get a bit more powerful enemies to fight.

Most def my favorite game for the 360 so far (haven't played Skyrim yet though). This is the only game where I make popcorn before I play it lol. Nightmare difficulty is a beast!

Finished AW today, pretty enjoyable experience overall. I really liked the use of the various flashlights, it really added to the suspense.

My only complaint is that how you kept losing the flashlight and weapons throughout the various chapters. That got a little bit annoying to me.

What was up with that ending? I understood the ending, but was it setup this way to take advantage of the DLC?

It's a real shame again that MSFT didn't put more resources behind this franchise. I see this on a Silent Hill level and if there is ever a full fledged sequel, some new cool enemies would be great. The Taken were ok, but really got to be a repetitive enemy towards the end.

Does both DLC continue the story?

So, no word of a re-release with all bonus content included? I've been dying to pick this game up but I get the feeling the week after I buy it Microsoft will release a special edition that includes all the DLC!

At this point I doubt it since its been almost 2 years in May that this game released. The game can be had as low as $10 on ebay for a digital code or around $16 at Gamestop. Not sure how much the DLC is?
