No brings up this point when it comes to Sony and Delays. About 2 years ago Sony had a huge overhaul when it came to department heads for its various divisions. The stock fell, people where fired. I believe this shake up two years ago has dramatically effected the development of the PS3. The atomsphere at sony is dramatically different now then 6 years ago.

If Sony can't release in the US till 07' Microsoft will cream them.

Though I'm a slight XBOX fanboy, this is not something I want to hear. This is not good stuff on the real. I really don't like how it's turning out for Sony. I hope that they get everything worked out soon. How will Japan and the Asian market react now? How exactly is this going to affect the sales over there?? So I guess that Microsoft is seriously celebrating seeing that their move was a good one?? Oh I hope it works out right.......

If PS3 does not launch until 2007 this gives Nintendo a chance to steal some thunder. There will be people who may not want to wait and with a price tag under $299 this might attract some people who are waiting for PS3. I know the Revolution is not going to have the looks of the PS3 or XBox 360 but they still have a shot to make an impact. It all depends on what they have in store with the new controller. I also think if they could have a standard controller also sports gamers would have no reason not to buy a Revolution. I know I may sound like a Nintendo fanboy but I am not. I am looking forward to PS3. Just the price rumors of PS3 and the problems people have had with the 360 has me looking towards the Revolution also. I guess we will just have to wait and see what is in store.

Sony Computer Entertainment officially kicked off its 2006 PlayStation Business Briefing just moments ago. SCE President Ken Kutaragi took to the stage almost immediately following the press conference's start time and apologized for all the PlayStation 3 speculation that has taken place over the past few months.

"It is my aim," Kutaragi said, "To clear things up about the PlayStation 3 today. The PS2, the PS3, the network, and Future Cell Network will all be addressed."

update: Early Nov. release EVERYWHERE!!!!

Update: Several million units will be produced on a monthly basis up until launch
(=greater number than the PS2 was produced in)

uhm, he just confirmed the delay rumors. not spring 06, but winter 06 now... finally got some new word from sony.... hopefully there won't be any delays for winter 06......

Thats only if you thought it was coming in the spring... To me all he confirmed is what I already knew, its coming this fall.

I wonder what exactly the basic online service entails? Everything is sounding pretty damn good so far. I really hope we get some new media from a few 1st party games.

don't kid yourself, it was an obvious ploy to screw with MS and make people hold off on the system.
