I know it's leveled towards me. Know any dungeons that have humans or vampires?

Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Discussion
You guys know how in Fallout 3 you can adjust the camera in third person mode to be as close or as far to the avatar as you want (using L2 on PS3)?
Question: Can you do the same thing with this game?Comment

Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Discussion
The best dungeon for armor is called Rockmilk Cave. It is to the north of Leyawin. You can make a quick run through the cave, killing all the bandits for a ton of gear, run out as fast as possible and then quick travel away from it, wait 2 or 3 days and then fast travel back to the cave and everything will be respawned.
Rockmilk Cave is a cave north of Leyawiin, right behind the Water's Edge settlement. This cave is a great place to find Black bows, which will give a good profit when given to Count Marius Caro. The main section of the cavern with a main path branching into multiple rooms. The cavern is laden with Bandits and Marauders throughout the cavern doing battle with each other. Also, there are two dead Bandits in the first room. One is under the Rock Fall Trap. Another is on a bed to the right of...
The best dungeon for accessories (rings, amulets, etc.) is Greenmead Cave. It's on the road between the Imperial City and Skingrad. You can find a TON of amazing amulets and rings in here, especially if you're higher level so that the better gear shows up. Same for Rockmilk.
Greenmead Cave is a cave halfway between Skingrad and the Imperial City on the Gold Road, near the Ayleid ruin Ceyatatar. The cave contains loads of treasure, including enchanted items in the chests in the rooms, some with hard locks. It is inhabited by creatures such as Minotaurs, Spriggans and Will-o-the-Wisps. However, in the larger back room, a Giant Mud Crab can be found guarding several other treasure chests. Large bodies of water can be found in the cave with a few chests on the...Comment

Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Discussion
I actually passed Rockmilk cave, and I knew it was inhabited with Bandits because of the stuff outside of it. I know where it is, so I guess I'll check it out.
Do Bandits generally have hideouts closer to cities? Because so far that's how it's been working for me. Vilverin, and some other places. Like Crumbling Mine like just outside of Chorral.
Also, I am supreme Overlord of the Fighters Guild. Nobody can deny me my place within the Guild. It was fun killing Maglir. He was a such an *** to me.Comment

Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Discussion
I don't know if anyone else found it, but off the western coast of Anvil there's a pile of bones underwater that you'll find the Fin Gleam helm. Constant Night Eye, Water breathing and Detect life when you have it on. I didn't spoil it because its not associated with any quest, and not many people would expect to swim off the coastline, yet i didHELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Discussion
I always thought that one of the best rings imo is the ring of water breathing you get for getting slaughter fish scales for that guy right outside of the Imperial city...lol. I cant tell you how many times it has helped me in situations, like the ring of burder Mages guild quest...There were other missions that required me to go under water for extra stuff as well. I always keep it with me.

Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Discussion
I dont know why but that annoys the heck out of me when people do that. Like in the CoD lvl on the ship in multiplayer. Its suppost to be played with some night vision but people just turn the brightness up. It really takes that aspect of the game out. Same in Fallout 3 and Oblivion. Torches in Oblivion become useless and the dark effect of dungions go right out the window.
Just bugs the hell out of me IMO.

But with so many weapons, equipment, abilities, etc. open to the player (and various ways to abuse them), how do you define "what the developer intended" in a game like Oblivion? Just curious.Comment

Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Discussion
I agree on the torches thing because that's manipulating factors outside of the game (in a multiplayer sense, I think that's been going on ever since Counter-Strike...).

Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Discussion
Anyone know a console command to get out of the prison where you start the game? The reason I ask is for testing purposes - I'm trying to install some mods and I can't really tell if there's anything weird going on when I'm stuck down in there. And I've heard it's better to install the big conversion mods with a fresh install/new game, which means I can't load a save from outside..
I realize that would potentially break a few things since you wouldn't have a birthsign or class yet, but I thought maybe I could walk around outside at least. And I wouldn't actually be playing the game on that save anyway.Last edited by bcruise; 09-02-2010, 01:18 PM.Comment

Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Discussion
Darkness is just annoying. I'm not cheating, I'm just trying to make it easier on me, because it makes it funner. Since half the time I'm in dark dungeons I want to be able to see, and Night Eye hurts my eyes because of how close I have to sit to my T.V screen, since it's small and in my bedroom.
In games like Call of Duty most levels aren't completely dark. In Oblivion I can never see, and torches are a freaking waste of space. The developers intended for the game to be fun, and for me it can't be fun if I die from not being able to see at all.Comment
