Kearnzo, definitely dont give up. I was getting ready to as well, but found a place that had a guys mods all rolled into one oMod. So just downloading the 1.61GB file, and Oblivion Launcher, works like a charm. Now I have all of the most important mods, leveled creatures, armors, etc without all the headache.

I'll shoot you a link to where I got it.

Trob sent me a list of mods a while back but for the life of me I can't find a mod with elven cloaks like in LOTR, are there any out there?

No problem. Enjoy fellas. I'm playing the heck out of it. Beautiful. I'm still getting some crashes to desktop, but overall, pretty smooth.

Is this everything in that giant list you posted some months back, trob? I went through installing all of that and ended up screwing up one of the character meshes. I was shocked as could be when a giant question mark ran out of nowhere to attack me, lol.

Same thing happened to me when I tried doing everything myself.

I think the big list trob poster was just his list of mods. The FCOM mod is this: http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/convergence.html

Takes the hassle out of trying to get everything figured out on your own.

I'm pumped. Finished the download last night, and i'm just waiting for my wife to wake up now so I can hop on the computer in the bedroom and lose myself in Oblivion again. Here's to hoping it works!

That's what trob posted in the thread. All that mess. I sat up for like 2 hours trying to download and install everything knowing I needed to get some sleep before going to work at night.

After all that I just un-installed the game and said I'd come back later... I still haven't come back, lol.

Good luck. Just be forewarned, if you're starting from scratch with a low level guy, stay out of sight of bad guys, necromancers, etc. They're no joke.

I'd also get the Alternate, start by ship if you don't want to deal with the imperial sewers for the first few minutes.

And Cyros, brotha, it's not everything on trob's list. It just takes the main ones that people have trouble installing correctly, and puts them into one fail safe method. If it worked for me, it has to be failsafe.

Yeah, just download that, and it'll take all of the "mess" out of it. Just one oMod, tell OBMM where you downloaded it, it will take a minute or two once you go to "Activate", which you must do in OBMM. But once it's active, just launch oblivion and you're set.

Does the alternate start have to be before or after FCOM in OBMM? I know this stuff can be sensitive, so I don't want to mess everything up. The alternate start mod is one of few I actually got to work when I tried doing everything myself.

A good app for other mods and mod order is BOSS. I'll look it up real quick and send you the link. It will look over what you have in your masterlist in OBMM, and adjust the order if it needs to, to make sure everything works right.
