Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion discussion Part II
ok someone please tell me....
Has anyone who is not into RPG's and has not played Morrowind or other ES games been playing this and enjoying it?
It sounds awesome but this game type has not particularly intrigued me previously (closest I've come is the Zelda series which I have enjoyed)
thanksComment

I'm gonna give it a shot tonight if I can find it at Compusa tonight ($45)Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion discussion Part II
Either stay that way, or if it's within 3 days, use a cure disease potion. If not, there's a Priest you can go to for the quest to cure it.
I wouldn't, though
You get faster and stronger (as well as more resistant to physical damage, yet vulnerable to fire) every day you don't feed, but people won't talk to you. My plan is to contract vampirism, feed and get quest info, then wait for several days before slaughtering every living thing inside the quest zone.
Since you're a vamp, try this: find a sleeping person and sneak up on them, and use the A button to "interact" with themComment

I think TCrouch might be the first person to kill every NPC in the game.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion discussion Part II
That's my goal. If they don't have a little "crown" on them when I get close, it's a death warrant. I think I may start becoming more choosy with who I decide to disembowel. There's not much thrill of the hunt when I just kill everything that moves, so with my guy that I'll create tonight to start the "killer" thread, I'll try to be a bit more discreet about my sadistic tendencies.Comment

2) How do I improve my alchemy?
3) How do i level up?
4) Tcrouch said he could drag corpses... i want to do that too!
5) How can I find out how much gold I have?
6) How do I buy a house?
7) and where can I make some posion potion to put on my weapons? that sounds cool..
EDIT: 8) How and where do I sell stuff?

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion discussion Part II
1) How do I increase my personality?
When you talk to certain people at the bottom you can choose "Persuade". Read the directions in the manual for more details on the mini-game.
2) How do I improve my alchemy?Find a mortar and pestle. Press A to add ingredients.
3) How do i level up?
Level your major skills. 10 major = 1 level.
4) Tcrouch said he could drag corpses... i want to do that too!
Left Button. Make sure you grab a part of the corpse that is draggable. I go for the head.
5) How can I find out how much gold I have?
Push B. Go to your Inventory (the weapon) its toward the bottom.
6) How do I buy a house?
I wonder the same
7) and where can I make some posion potion to put on my weapons? that sounds cool..
Improve your alchemy skill to make better potions and you may need recipies. I have never done alchemy.
EDIT: 8) How and where do I sell stuff?
Find an NPC. Where at the bottom by "Persuade" you can choose "Barter" *I think. Press Y to try and get a better deal

Read the manual. It will help A TON!
NOTE: You will screw up your first character. Don't worry, everyone does it.
We should start an FAQ Thread.Last edited by bryan_05; 03-23-2006, 07:46 PM.University of Evansville Graduate

Questions of my own ...
When shooting an arrow. Is there a damage difference between head shot and leg shot. I think I shot someone in the heart and they died much faster, but I don't know if it was just less Hit Points to start.
We should organize all the questions that don't have spoilers and number them in the front of this thread.University of Evansville Graduate
