I'm 50 hours gameplay on that save

I stopped the main quest about 15 hours ago just to do all the side missions and general exploring. I prefer that much more.

Right now I'm around 109 hours in... I have to take the vehicle to get it serviced tomorrow, but afterwards I'll be right back to it. I'm trying to close some Oblivion gates right now. I've closed 6 today already, among other things. I'm loving it.

I appreciate the character help guys, thanks! Three more questions though:

1)Why does no one pick the Imperial race? I know that certain attributes aren't as strong, but can't I go around manipulating and persuading and get goods on the cheap? They have to have some benefit!

2)How do you get spells? If I buy the scrolls, do I just equip them to a button? I'm don't like running around using the same weak healing spell that I had in the sewers.

3)Are you sure that heavy armor doesn't create a problem? It seemed to me that when I wore heavy my thieving victims saw me almost immediately, while with the Dark Brotherhood robe gear I was able to get away.

                      Thanks again!

I know one answer, from my AD&D days...uhh thieves should never wear heavy armor in general.

                              1) nothing wrong with imperial race. They're pretty balanced but I think most people tend to stay away from the speech skills as their pretty easy to level up. If thats the type of character you want to play i'd say go for it. They get some decent combat bonuses as well.

                              2) I don't have much experience with spells but you can equip scrolls like a normal spell and cast with whatever button you would a normal spell. 'c' on the PC

                              3) I am pretty sure only the boots count, but I don't use heavy armor for thief types regardless because it takes away some of the realism for me.
