It took me until I reached Gladiator rank before I realized that. It really doesn't speed things up.

I never washed my hands after each fight and I went right throught them all at once.

Only time i got hurt at all was the 3 on 1's, just because i wasn't as good at managing a battle then. Now, with either my archer's knockdown ability, or my mage's staff of paralysis, and other things I can deal with multiple mobs a lot better.

Just got the game. Wow! Very nice. The atmosphere is really immersive. I actually get scared going into dark caves.

Question for all you pros: What do you do about light and weapons in dark places? Right now, I just have a torch as one of my hotkeys and I just use it until I see someone and then switch to weapon real quick. Is that ideal or should I be casting a light spell or what? I got so used to having a constant effect ring of light on Morrowind that I don't know what to do now. lol

there are light and night eye spells, potions, and rings (maybe necklaces too, i dunno), so eventually you'll have something to use. I'm Khajit, so I just use my 30 seconds of night eye spell I get racially...

I game on my LCD monitor, and there is no reason to use torches, it's already bright to the point where I can make stuff out.

I game on my LCD TV, and the darks are so dark that you can't see ANYTHING... I have a ring of nightvision though, so that helps out tremendously.

Like he said, Go for the light or Night Eye spells. I prefer Night Eye as it doesn't give away my location to the enemies like a torch does.

Yea, It's actually fun trying to avoid the guards. Invisibility spells are a life saver. =P

I'll have to clear one out, then go home and empty myself, load up, sell, etc. I was going on a house binge lately, want to buy them all and i know that's f'n expensive.
But.. But.. But... I can't carry as much loot as he can. I mean the difference between 700 and 1000+ is like 5000 plus gold. That makes my money earned per trip drop. That makes me a sad Theif. =P

:y4: Yeah, I'm up to around 1173 encumbrance now. I can carry quite a bit. I usually just take the most valuable things though. I have purchased all of the houses, and still have some money left over after furnishing them all. Cave pillaging is great

I can not find any caves or anything. Im stuck at level 5 with pretty good stats. Im a Gladiator in the Arena, Apprentice level in the Fighters guild and Im in the Theives Guild but I don't know where the Lex guy hides the waterfront peoples taxes and I have sold about 2000 gold worth of stuff to my Fence in Bruma but don't know how to get a new one.

And if anyone knows of any cool places to check out let me know.
