Well I had what I consider a game killer today. I was doing the main quest, and went to the Dagon shrine. I refused to give up my gear, so I was forced to kill every person I saw. I found the prisoner, got the quest update (take such and such to the Cloud Ruler Temple) and when I left, the map arrow led me to a rock wall that wouldn't move. I tried another door after viewing the map and I couldn't get the door open. I had the Dagon Shrine key and the storeroom key, and neither would open the door. I also found a metal gate that wouldn't open, and only found one switch. I ran around the caves for an hour, checking and rechecking every dead body, wearing the red robe (maybe that's why the door wouldn't open), and trying every door again and again. The entire shrine is DEAD, the prisoner is DEAD, and STILL I couldn't get out. I'm ****ing pissed off, had to reset my game, and seriously am about to chuck the damn thing out the door. If this is the **** I have to put up with, this game isn't for me. I've invested too much time as it is (did all the Arena, Dark Brotherhood, and have put in over 200+ game days and far too many hours). I absolutely love this game. Last night I started over (I was only just past getting out of the sewers) as a thief character. I went in this one place right outside the sewers where a bunch of bandits are. Playing as a thief in this game is ultra cool. I spent probably an hour in that place just sneaking around. Shot some guy with an arrow and he went flying over the railing. It feels almost like Splinter Cell or the old game "Thief." Extremely immersive. And I chose Kahjitt. Night Eye definitely helps in some places. Again, great game.
On another note, what's the secret to leveling? I think I just got a level up message, but all I've been doing is raising my sneak, blade, and light armor ratings. I don't remember any other messages, except maybe one restoration raise. After you get the level up message should you work on any other skills before you sleep?
