The name alone destroys any possibility of me even considering a Wii. The Revolution was a hot name. The abbreviated "Rev" was just as hot. This has got to be some kind of late April fools joke.

It's funny. 'Revolution' was a great name that fits Nintendo's new vision to a T. Perfect for marketing. Yet, they scrap it and go with a name that sounds silly and makes no sense.

Wii is a stupid name yes, But not buying a console b/c of the name is dumb. Remember the Dreamcast, Playstation, Xbox, Xbox 360, Gamecube. Yes everyone laughed at those too.

Maybe Nintendo is trying to save some translating and Marketing Dollars b/c the name "Wii" is the same in any country.

I remember saying "xbox, that is the worst name ever!" Then I said "xbox 360, now thats even dumber!" Well, i was wrong on both counts, and Im sure we will all be wrong in saying that Wii is stupid now. Now, its time for me to get off here and go play with my Wii

Nintendo Wii is downright embarrassing! I advise everybody to contact Nintendo and tell them how much of a mistake they made by choosing that horrible name!
