If this thing is 199 i'm preordering the minute I can. I hope the regular old school control pad comes out with it."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

Have they given any hints about when we will get a price and exact date? At $199 it might be the steal of the season.DON'T PANICComment

Third Parties Failing Wii Opportunity
Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter tells Next-Gen.Biz that he doubts third-party publishers outside of Sega and Ubisoft are well-positioned to take advantage of any early Wii success.

Originally posted by candyman56It saddens me to read these kinds of articles. Same thing happened with the N64 and Gamecube where 3rd parties didn't capitalize on the hardware. I can understand with the N64 since it was rather expensive to develop games on there, but the Cube had potential.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Nintendo Wii (Revolution) Information, hardware, games discussion
I actually loved the GC controller. Felt great and was an almost perfect shape. Best triggers ever also.
And I don't think it's any surprise that 3rd party developers won't be rushing to support the Wii.
Afterall, it's less powerful than the 360 and PS3 and with the different control system, I assume games (Say Splinter Cell, EA Sports, Prince of Persia etc) that usually appear on all consoles will not be simply ported over.
Developers can have their own reasons for not creating Wii games but I think one reason will be that some devs simply aren't up for the innovation. Especially since they can't just throw out a basic game with new fancy graphics like many companies have done for the 360 so far.Comment

Couldn't disagree more.
I own a 360 and 5 games. Have also rented or played demo's of another 15 or so. Pretty much everything there has been done before. So what we have is an expensive bunch of 'been there done that' games that are being hyped simply because of high definition and fancy graphics.
The Wii does promote innovation. I could write paragraphs and paragraphs why, but it's obvious fanboys either can't acknowledge it, or simply won't. Publicly at least.Comment
