Why couldn't he have been this kookie during the conference? At least then I would have been entertained.

Re: ***The All Sony PS3 Price and Features Thread***
in reguards to the front loading disc, were there ever any issues with the oringinal imacs? the ps2's biggest issue was the "can't read dics" based on their disc drive setup. why wouldn't they just stick with the ps1 and slim ps2 disc trey that locks in place?
if it breaks, i don't care how cool it looks.
edit: if i'm a sports gaming fan, why do i care about motion controller?Last edited by kennytomson; 05-10-2006, 06:34 AM.Comment

Originally posted by backbreakerI saw the pics of both versions and the biggest thing to me was in small print "product subject to change without notice" so with that said, their is more news to come and the Tokyo Game Show is where you will get all of the finalized information. People harp about the price, but they pretty much even one another out. PS3 online is free(for how long don't know) so if you spend your annual fees on X360 you will eventually pass the price of the PS3.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

2) They went with a different tray design because it would take away from the machines appearance.Comment

Originally posted by RodsterIt averages out to be $4.17 per month. I think I can afford that like everyone else here.

Re: ***The All Sony PS3 Price and Features Thread***
Originally posted by gschwendtwell, if you want to use that math, the PS3 (599) averages out to 9.98 per month over a 5 year period. The 360 premium (plus live) averages out to 10.82 per month.
Had to stretch out over 5 yrs, huh? lol. That logic doesn't cut it with my accountant wife, but nice try.Comment

Heck, at 4 years, it works out to be the same price.
360 plus live for 48 months = 12.48 (12.4825)
PS3 for 48 months = 12.48 (12.4791)Comment

They set the mountain pretty high for themselves with their hype and promises and they fell flat. Factor in the BS about why they can't use Rumble in their controllers when we all know it's based on the 'Lawsuit with Immersion'.
I gotta have Rumble in my games. Without it it's like playing a game with no audio. Now if they release a future controller with this feature then i'll reconsider.Comment

Originally posted by RodsterLet me one thing perfectly clear. Sony talked me out of buying a PS3 not because of the price but because they gave me little to no reason why their machine is "MUCH BETTER or even BETTER" than the 360.

Yea, I love the rumble/vibration in the controller. It really takes away alot IMO. Games like MGS utilized it perfectly during cutscenes and the like. Its one of the reasons why I may pass on the PS3. I have a friend on the other hand who despises the vibrating controllers. This may be right up his alley.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment
