I have yet to see one person on my friends list playing this, as EG said, they are all playing Halo 3 or NBA2K8.

I saw Fish, Holic and maybe one or two others playing Orange Box, didn't even check to see if they were playing TF2. I'm getting this, but not until Sunday at TRU when I'll pick it and PGR4 up. No clue what I'm going to get as the other game.

Seems like Gabe Newell still hates the PS3 with a passion. Funny though, he's still releasing The Orange Box on the PS3

          Re: Half-Life 2 Orange Box (360/PS3)

Picked this up yesterday. I never played Half-Life 2 when it originally came out (my PC couldn’t handle it) so I’ve been looking forward to this great compilation.

I tried HL2 for about 2 hours last night. The game is fun. Certainly has that Half-Life “feel” I remember from the original game back in the day. I haven’t had this much fun with a crowbar in almost 10 years.

Graphically, the game does show its age. It doesn’t look bad by any means, but it does not impress me in the way that Bioshock and Halo 3 have recently. I hear Episode 2 does look considerable better, but I have quite a bit more to go before I get there. It would have been great if Valve could have implemented all those new graphical tricks in the original HL2, but I don’t want to nitpick since The Orange Box has so much great content on it.

Can’t wait to try Portal and TF2!

They did add HDR lighting to HL2. That was only available on high end video cards back in the day.

I was trying to notice and I think they did. It is not as good as the HDR in Halo 3, but from what I can tell, it is there.

I tried playing TF2 last night and it was lag city.

haven't experienced any lag at all online. Actually been very smooth.

I have had two games crash because of the host's poor connection. I had one other game where lag was really bad. I hope they can fix this somehow.

TF2 is really fun if not for the lag spikes.

Portal is a blast to play.

                        I'll get around to HL2, e1 and e2 eventually.

But I'd have to say this is the best $60 I've spend on a game ever, and it beats Halo 3 (which I love btw) hands down for overall value.

I have played about three hours of HL2 and while I still like it and the atmosphere is incredible, it is just missing something after playing games like Bioshock. I think the fact that I know what's coming in the story probably takes away a little something as well.

I like TF2 a lot, but with the limited amount of maps and no customization of game modes, I wonder how long it will keep gamers attention.

I am going to send friend requests to you two above. I have two kids as well.

Both games I played of TF2, I got dropped midway through. Been playing Half Life 2, I think I'm about half way through it already. Really good game..
