I don't get why you guys can't save...but it seems you both have something in common - that at least two people are playing on one console. Try this if you haven't already - create a separate user profile on the XMB for the other player, and load that into LBP when the first player is in their pod (I think the 2P just presses start and selects their profile)

It might be that LBP is only counting your second player as a guest and not their own profile. I can actually try this real quick on mine - my PS3 is wounded, but it's not dead. I can keep it on for around an hour (although I'd REALLY like to get it sent off soon!).

I'm pretty sure that the 2nd player's costumes and things won't save unless they have their own profile. We always had the problem of my wife's costume resetting to normal when we played as well.

        Re: Little Big Planet (PS3)

I think that's the trick guys - your 2nd player simply needs a user profile of their own. I just created a 2nd profile as a test, played through 1 level with both profiles active, then started a single player one with the test profile. After completing the introduction (can't be skipped), I had access to both the 1st and second levels, as well as every prize bubble I had collected (with both characters active) in the first run.

Give it a shot, I think that's your answer.

            OK, it worked!

            BUT

Now that she has her own profile, we are going to have to go back through and play every level again, because her newly created player doesn't have any of the costumes, stickers, etc. that we collected.

Kinda sucks, but we were going to go back through to try to get everything again anyway...

She's mostly just sad she lost all the cute costumes

Yeah, that's kind of a drag...but glad to hear you got it working.

Sadly, my PS3 kicked it again about 5 minutes after finishing that test - it's just teasing me now. And the coffin is approximately 2 blocks away, at a UPS facility that won't open until Monday.

              *sigh*

So...can you search for levels by name or author? I just see the multiple planets and searching by "tag", which is worthless as every level is labeled as "cool" or "cute" etc.

Ok we had the same problem what I figured out was I did not want PSN accounts on my system for everyone that plays the game. If you use your account, your sack boy always loads in just go to customize and reset him back to blank. Then your wife can create hers and save it on your profile, keep doing this for everyone that wants a certain sackboy. Then when you start the game back up you will load in as always, have the second person select the guest profile. They will come in as a blank one like always just open the popit and scroll all the way over to the end and select one of the saved sackboy or sackgirl. In other words any sack you create on your account and save will be available in the guest account popit.

Hope this makes sense, its early and I have had no coffee. LOL

Is that user created content? Or an upcoming update? That was awesome.

Yes, you can type in search terms if you select "text" from the Search Options menu. It doesn't work quite as well as it could (IMO it gives far too many results, which makes it difficult when you are looking for a specific level), but it does make it easier to find levels recommended by others.
