Yes, you can type in search terms if you select "text" from the Search Options menu. It doesn't work quite as well as it could (IMO it gives far too many results, which makes it difficult when you are looking for a specific level), but it does make it easier to find levels recommended by others.

I have a couple lists of good levels suggested from here and elsewhere and just going page by page was terrible!

Anyone make any Kill Bill levels? I rented it for a day and made a sackgirl Uma when I got to the Japan levels. Gave me a few ideas but one day isn't enough to make anything out of them. Even if I had the game and did make them I guess there's no way to know if they'd actually stay.

Forgot to mention I think this game can be pretty frustrating at times. Things don't always go as they're set up to go. For example in one of those Mexico levels using the mine cart,it ended up flipping over on me. Then there was the one with dragging the wrestler and he got stuck.

Do you have to have an internet connection going when playing the user created levels or can I take my ps3 to my moms, download some levels and go back home to my no internet access and play them?

Thinking about picking this up....but not if I have to have a constant internet feed for user levels.

Unfortunately, there is no option to download any of the user-created levels. You have to be connected online to play them.

Yeah, those things can be a little frustrating, but overall I like the openness/variety these occurrences provide.

The only thing I don't like about LBP is the foreground/background stuff. The game "guesses" which you want to jump to, but it doesn't always work right. I wish there was an option to make it completely manual.

This is one of my few beefs with the game as well. I really like your idea of having an Assisted/Manual option in the game, perhaps they will patch that in sometime in the future.

How in the hell to you go online or play user created levels? I go to the pod computer and I don't see an option for online. What am I missing.

Did you just start the game? I believe you have to play through the first 2 levels or so (introduction + the first real level). Don't worry, it won't take long - they're short and easy.

I played with Mizz yesterday and it was a good time. We even got 100% of the bubbles on one level!!

Does this game support voice chat?

Yeah that was fun. We need to get four people together so we can get 100% on the levels that have the 4-player co-op areas in them.

Yeah, sorry for the bailout last night... My nephew was getting kind of peeved when he couldn't keep up. That's what you get when you're 4!

I can help with the 4 player stuff sometime this week. Even tonight (after The Office/30 Rock of course).
