The game is loading too much stuff all the time to be able to keep up with who is dead and in what places in the region after you leave the region. And when you consider that, it's no different than any other game like that. If I went to Rockmilk Cave in Oblivion, it had the exact same bandit layout every single time. If I went in a forest in Chrono Trigger, you'd see nearly the exact same monster layout in the forest every time also. I don't consider it a bad design decision since it's been the same way in many games for as long as I can remember.
see oblivion wasn't like that though. If you cleared a dungeon, it meant you could go back and there wouldn't be any more bad guys, also you could get people to chase you to get a local guard to help and the bodies would remain there for a long long time.

Plus, you consider your travel options, if you're going to oakvale, there is really only like one path to take, and the enemies come at the same choke points - it's SO noticeable that I believe it takes away from the experience - you go back and forth so much that it will be impossible not to notice...i've been playing since saturday, so i've seen it much more. It would have been better even if htey had like 5 different set piece alignments...it would make runnning through more worth-while instead of seeing it a few times, getting the treasure and never fast travelling the rest of the game.

The map in the menu sucks too, you can't even see what region you're in or zoom or highlight what the next area is to find out if it's where you want to be.

Also the sex thing is driving me nuts...i walk around in Bowerstone and literally every single woman has a red heart and wants a ring, yet having sex is so hard to get it to work. I think there must be some kind of problem w/ it, like I've only managed to make it work w/ a wife once (I have 2 but one left) and it was a fluke. I hope someone will be able to explain it better than the manual because i just get sleep prompts. How do you lead someone to a bed and not get a sleep prompt?

Don't get me wrong, I really like the game, but these are legit problems - the villagers can roam a little, why can't the enemies?

My character is pretty cool looking now, so he deserves to get at least 10 girls pregnant

Are there more hair styles than what's in the first city? The long hair is done pretty badly.

This game sounds like it's got my Real love life down pretty good.

But seriously I can't wait to get home and play it again.

Are you using the "follow" expression or the "come back to my place" expression (purchase at bowerstone bookstore)? If you only use the follow you will just get the option to sleep. btw, most of the girls in bowerstone will only go to bed with you if they are married...so the gypsy camp is where its at

Theory says that if they add money when the clock goes forward, they would subtract money when it goes back...

But then again I'm not sure if they would actually take money away from the player in that manner.

I would test it, but I don't want to ruin a save.

I played for a few hours last night. Does anyone else feel overwhelmed? Obviously you can just straight do the main quest, but i find myself going into Bowerstone, or any city and seeing a ton of people and trying to talk to them all, with allt he shops being open, just seems like a TON to do (a good thing), but i cant make up my mind on what i want to do.

I've played Oblivion to death and I could always go back to places I cleared and there wasn't anyone there.....

It's got to do with the waiting period. I would fast travel to the town above Rockmilk, wait 3 days with Back button and then fast travel back and run through it again. I'm not even sure if you had to go anywhere else, I think might have been able to just stand outside the cave and wait 3 game days. Did the same thing for Greenmead Cave too since there were tons of Rings and Amulets in there.

I agree. I'm also torn about the breadcrumbs thing. I like having it on to guide me back to the path when I go exploring... BUT... it also takes some of the exploring out of the game by telling you where to go. So far I've made it a happy medium.
