Re: Harmonix's Rock Band now with Impressions

I think with the popularity that Guitar Hero/Rock Band has gotten, a Country Edition won't be too far behind.

My buddy just got RB for the PS3 and it didnt come with a USB hub. Can a regular USB hub that i use on my PC work on the SPS3?

Re: Harmonix's Rock Band now with Impressions

I don't know if this question has been asked in this thread before, I'm too lazy to go back and look through all the pages and find out.

I ordered a replacement (PS3) guitar last night. I started playing the game the day after Christmas, and the strum bar didn't even last until New Year's Day. I've just now gotten around to replacing it, and I was wondering if anyone else had done this yet. Did they do a good job of getting a new one out to you? My friend had his order canceled because they thought "MS" was Michigan. Do they make screwups like that very often?

The whammy bar on my 360 guitar went out a while ago. I'm going to try to hold off until we go to Europe for two weeks this summer to order the replacement so I don't have to play the game without it.

Downloaded all 3 new songs. Enjoyed them all, especially the guitar on "Sex Type Thing" and "Why Do You Love Me?" I got one of my best singing scores ever on "Sex Type Thing".
Hopefully, no more Police and more 90's bands.

I haven't had any problems with the drums. BUT, I am on my 3rd guitar. The one that came with Rock Band lasted about 2 days before the strum bar went out. They sent another one and the green button did not work out of the box. So, I am waiting for my 3rd one to arrive.

Well, that makes me feel better...

It's strange how some people seem to be having no problems, and nothing goes right for others. I'll be buying a Nyko Frontman when they come out next month, for sure.

Anybody know why my scores won't record online? I tried playing on quickplay and solo career but I always get the "you need to play to get ranked" message when I access the leaderboard for songs to see where I'm ranked. I'm on PSN and the game recognizes my online username and I have no other problems with any other games. It posts all the other online scores but it won't recognize my scores. What am I doing wrong?

Just got my new guitar via UPS.

I'm almost certain this is a used guitar. The fret buttons all click even louder than my first one, and the strum bar feels very loose. I haven't played with it yet, but I have a feeling it's not going to last long.

Not a good sign dude. I have another question, just got the game but I have a 2 year old so storing the drums is an issue. Right now I have 'em in the garage, covered with a towel. You think it is alright to keep 'em there, the average temp. here in Austin is like a low of 42 to a high of 70. I dont think dampness or humidity is a big issue in there, should I not be doing this?

I don't think it would be too much trouble to take it apart and put it in a closet. I haven't taken mine apart, so I don't know how long that takes, but it shouldn't be too big of a task.

                          Interesting...

SAN FRANCISCO -- With the release of the iPod-exclusive rhythm title Phase, Harmonix proved they have the technology necessary to let players import their own music into one of the company's rhythm titles through a process called "Procedural Generation."

This technology is easily the most requested feature in the firm's games (most importantly the recent Rock Band), but according to Phase Senior Designer Chris Foster, the system they have in place is simply not robust enough to handle the demands of a title like Rock Band that uses so many instruments.

Continuing, Foster added that "Harmonix is currently pursuing the possibility of allowing players to import their own music into" Rock Band's inevitable sequels, but gave no details on when or how this would occur.

That would be HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE. Im pretty satisfied with the songs they have on there, but ive always thought it would be great to bring in any song you want. Can you imagine the retail price on that? If most single songs are $.99 - $1.99, you know there will be a higher price tag since Microsoft and/or Harmonix wont get the DLC fee. But im pretty sure, unless it was something ridiculous like 400 bucks that id get it.

I've noticed (on the 360 version) that it does not upload my high scores immediately. It takes a little while it to load them, so if you are checking the leaderboards as soon as you finish a song, give it some time. Now, if it has been days, then something is wrong.
