By pre-ordering the album at www.BestBuy.com/disturbed, fans will receive instructions to download title track “Indestructible” and “Inside The Fire” for Rock Band from Xbox Live. Both of those songs will also be available to all Rock Band owners on 360 and PS3 along with a third track from the album "Perfect Insanity". Each Disturbed track will be available for $.99 per track (80 Microsoft Points) for a limited time, or $2.99 (240 Microsoft Points) for the three pack.

"Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Cheeseburger in Paradise" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Volcano" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Indestructible" by Disturbed (master)
"Inside the Fire" by Disturbed (master)
"Perfect Insanity" by Disturbed (master)

Never thought I'd say this while debating a Rock Band song purchase: I think I'm going to get a couple of the Jimmy Buffett Songs and all of the Disturbed songs

agreed! I hope they release older Distrubed songs, but I used to be big fans of them back in the day, and I sure wouldn't mind hearing some new things.

For the first time in a long time, I'll get every song this week, the Distrubed ones are free for me for preordering the CD, and the Buffet songs will be great, fun party songs.

So Harmonix has been pretty mute, but eventually there will be a rock band 2. Better instruments, etc. What I'm wondering is with the huge amount of DLC for rock band, do you guys think that theres any chance you'll be able to use those songs in rock band 2? I mean there on your hard drive. With DLC, I think a lot of us have put a lot of money into this game post release, and it would be nice to be able to continue to play these songs in rock band 2's world tour etc.

Yeah, it would be nice if they were compatible with RB2 cause I've put a good $100 into DLC I think

I don't think I've put nearly that much, but still it would be nice. Maybe the rock band store wouldn't change at all, and all of the songs DLC for rock band would still be there and they would add new songs every whatever for RB2.

I'll be grabbing the Disturbed songs after downloading the album. Those are going to be damn fun (and probably hard) to play.

Question:

My wife just surprised me last night with Rock Band bundle for PS3 (and the Hit Kit) for my birthday. She also invited a some of our friends and family over to rock tonight. How many songs are available to play right away? Do I have to unlock songs and all that jazz? I plan on downloading a bunch of songs today, so those will be available obviously.

Also, should I pick up a second guitar so someone can play bass? What guitar can I get that isn't in the bundle.

Most of the songs are not available right away. You have to unlock them in World Tour Mode. However, there is a cheat code that will enable to you play all of the songs (though it disable saves). I used it for parties when I first got the game, but now I've unlocked all of the songs. Anything you download is available right away. Here's the code:

Unlock all songs
When you see the "Press Start" message on the title screen, quickly press
Red, Yellow, Blue, Red, Red Blue, Blue, Red, Yellow, Blue to unlock all songs.
Note: You can't save the game after activated this cheat.

I definitely recommend getting a second guitar. You can buy Guitar Hero or Rock Band guitars individually. I bought a Guitar Hero one just to have something different.
