I FINALLY beat Ride the Lightning on Expert guitar. I love the song but man is it hard. The four button zig zags at the beginning of the solo are killer. I managed to get through it without overdrive, so I could save it for the later part in the solo that normally kills me.

I also beat Blackened and ...And Justice for All a couple of days ago, so the Metallica pack is conquered.

RTL is the only one from the Metallica pack I haven't beaten yet. It's insanely tough.

I've managed to 4 star ...And Justice For All, somehow.

That's probably my highlight of my solo career.

Out of the 90 songs I haven't, besides RTL, I have yet to pass Thrasher (Evile) and GGaHT (Outlaws).

Is there a site that has a list of point totals you need to get to get the GS?

It's updated through today so all 239 songs have points needed to 5 star as well as GS. It's nice to have because you can know if you're even close to getting it as you play the song. Sometimes it's helped me push over the top.

Speaking of that, there was someone on those forums that bought every single song and has gold starred 228 of the 239. Freaking insane.

Speaking of Gold Stars, I think I have about 12 of the On-Disc songs left to Gold Star, and I've pulled myself up to around 2,800 on the leaderboards. Have something like 8.46M Points.

Quit bragging. lol jk I'm at 15,000 w/ 7253311 points. My GGaHT score is ranked 9,654. Not bad I'd say lol.

And btw, the video FINALLY finished uploading right b4 I'm about to go to bed. Thank god I don't have to leave my laptop on all night. If it processes all the way within the next few minutes, I'll post it. But if I doesn't, I'll post it tomorrow.

The solo is Ride the Lightning is just so freaking long. It's kind of like GG&HT in that there are a bunch of zig zags, only it's a bit difference because instead of a pattern of GRYRGRYRG, it goes GRBRGRB, so it skips over to blue instead of yellow on the zig zags. Thank goodness I did it. The non-solo parts really aren't too bad, it's just the four button zig zags at the beginning and then the nonstop crazyness in the 2nd half of the solo.

I've only tried Snow twice, and I got to 30% on my second try. I was mad too, because I failed after the main riff or whatever you want to call it. I think I can get it with a lot of practice and a decent amount of luck.

Beat it with 4 stars and then deleted it. The song just wasn't fun. There's a fine line between difficult while still fun. This one just crosses the line.

The only thing I got out of playing it was a severe hand cramp. So I deleted it, never to be played again.

Alright, here's the video of my run on GGaHT. Sorry for the pretty bad quality... no idea why part of the TV is dark lol. I'm most proud of the run I had at the 8:22 mark. But the ending...wow. I nearly threw in a few f-bombs there lol. The video is edited so it would be only 10 mins, so the loading time is short and the ending just kinda pops up with the score. Enjoy...

Was this just announced? I don't really keep up with announcements because I'm usually disappointed - but Toxicity is awesome. BYOB I like as a song, but I get a feeling the Verse is just going to be too complicated. Things like that are so easy to play on guitar, but so complicated in games like.

edit: And I have no idea how you can do those zig-zags. Those parts kill me. I have to cheat and just make them triplets.
