Been looking at this game for a while. Loved Obilivion (love medevil times).....not sure if I can get into a futuristic game though. Looks too dark and repetitive. Choices...choices....

Re: Fallout 3
However, I actually enjoyed Fallout 3. Although, I've deleted now before finishing it because it couldn't hold my attention, it's still a pretty good game.
You'll find that it pretty much works like Oblivion, combat is similar and based heavily on stats, the way you interact is the same (hell, I can even tell they used a lot of the same voice actors), the main world is basically the same (wander around the same scenery [you call fallout 3 repetitive, Oblivion was just a giant forest], and enter dungeons and vaults (you can look at some of the vaults kind of like the gates).
Really, Fallout 3 is Oblivion in the future. I think if you liked Oblivion, you'll like Fallout 3. I didn't like Oblivion, and I still liked Fallout 3. There's obviously quite a bit different about it - but most of the basic mechanics and idea of how the game is to be played is pretty much the same thing.Comment

Re: Fallout 3
For 360 owners, installing the game to the hard drive with NXE took about 8 minutes and 5.9 GB of space. I've got a loud dvd drive and now it makes no noise at all while playing
Can't really comment on load times, they felt about the same. Did seem like there is less pop in of stuff off in the distance.Comment

What did everyone do in Oasis?SpoilerI can't seem to decide... there are good arguments for each of the decisions (except for burning the dude...that just seems mean...I will save that for my evil playthrough)

SpoilerPlaying as a "good" guy I really had to think a bit. I ended up killing him, rather than doing the thing that'd spread him over the earth. Given how i'm playing it made sense to be kind to him. I agree with you that on my next play through he's getting torched!Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Fallout 3
I'm just cruising along, 32 hours in now. I'm a huge RPG fan, primarily focused on story and character development/interaction, so its shocking to me that I find this game so much better than Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia and even Mass Effect.
I loved all those game too, but this game, IMO, spanks all of them easily. I've never had this much fun just roaming around exploring the world.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Fallout 3
I am about 20 hours in, level 8. I honestly feel like I haven't done much yet. All good with me. This is one of the best games I have ever played. Continually amazed with what I encounter. I love taking my time and will complete every aspect of the game no matter what it takes.
I finished Lost Odyssey in 91 hours. LMAO. I know I suck, but what a ride!!! Kind of like Truckin', what a long strange trip that was. Fallout is even better, I don't care how long it takes.......A collection keeper from Day 1.Comment

Re: Fallout 3
Yep, just like the few previous posters, I am just taking my time with Fallout 3. It is a nice to take a little break between football, girls, and homework to just complete a few missions and sell items and kill people.
It is a real easy pick me up game considering that it is an RPG, thank goodness for a friendly save system.
I am around level 11 and I have not taken any steps what so ever to save my father, lol.Comment

This is one of the sweetest games I've played in a long time. I got this from Gamefly, but I think I'm gonna have to pay for this one or it's going to be keeping a slot for a long time.Comment
