ok i started up Halo 3 again this morning, and AGAIN i get the game over failure...

I'm going to be PISSED if I have to clear my cache and download the Crackdown update and the Beta update EVERYTIME i want to play...

Thanks guys. How many people can be in a room at the same time?

In the lobby, the game says you can have up to 16 in a game.

When you allow the beta to set up a game with its matchmaking system, you usually end up with 6 in a game. That's been my experience.

Like other games, you have the option to make the room more private and allow recent players and friends. That's all done from the lobby.

I don't understand the question. Who am I playing against? Looks like they're other Master Chief's with different color suits.

In part 2, wasn't the opposing side the other guys per say, or were they Spartans (Master Chief's) as well? Or am I just thinking of the terrible storyline where you used the bad guys. I can't remember now, been so long. I know in Halo 1 it was Spartans vs. Spartains.

I don't. With 16 person parties, the chances I'd get stuck playing with C.J. would be doubled.

In the few games I played with him last night, he didn't team kill anyone. Not once.

Plus, he didn't figure out that you need to hit the d-pad to talk, so he was also silent.

It was glorious.

I thought that when you first start up, you are in a lobby. From there, you can invite people from your friends list. Instead of selecting "start matchmaking" you hit Y and your friends list comes up.

I'll go double check it real quick.

From the looks of it, they place you in a lobby and you can edit the settings, invite up to 16 players and then start it up. I just don't have time to test it or enough friends on my list.

In Halo 2 MP you could play as an Elite or a Spartan.

C.J actually didn't teamkill anyone last night. I did though. I put down one of those proximity mines on the ground and I see CJ and hoosier walk right next to it and blow themselves up.
