Yeah, he wasn't that great. My team won 1-0 in CTF on High Ground.

lol whats funny is my team which had all 1 bars fought a whole other team of (thier icons looked like 2 shields)....and we destroyed them......and has anyone got into a game where players r just standing around on thier or oponents team......if anyone wants to play i will be on for a while tonight so just holar....

the only thing I can conclude is the default rifle sucks and if the other person has a better gun, you're toast.

hey not true i stay with the machine gun 4 a while and usually never give it away...any way i am tired of playin with peeps i dont know...maybe tonight we can get together and play tonight...

So i came up with this strategy for 1 flag CTF on High Ground..


Its a two man attack.

We'll call the two players man 1 and man 2

Man 1 starts off by heading left, picks up the active camo and the grav lift, and jumps the wall, kills the guy heading for spartan laser (which always happens), then opens the gate. He then heads to the vent shaft on the right side of the map.


Man 2 picks up the BR/Shotgun combo, and picks up the bubble shield, and heads to the vent shaft

Once both players enter the vent shaft, Man 1 exits first, heads to the right, and goes to where the mongoose is parked in the back garage area.

Man 2 waits for about 4 seconds in the shaft after Man 1 leaves, then he heads straight out of the shaft towards the flag.

As Man 2 walks across the 'bridge' to the flag, he throws down the bubble shield on the ground (not on the bridge, but on the ground), then goes to grab the flag.

When the announcer says "Flag taken," Man 1 (who should be on the mongoose by now) heads straight and parks in the bubble shield. Man 2 backtracks 5 feet with the flag, hops into the bubble shield, and boards the back of mongoose.


And your off...

in my 16 man halo 1 CTF games, i wasnt a top 4 pick because of my skill, but because of these eleborate plans i would always come up with...

I actually tried the plan I just posted here a little differently the first time I did it...

I set the bubble shield right in front of the flag, out in front of the base, but to many grenades and too much fire is directed at that area at all times, so as soon as you left the sheild, you got pounded and died. By moving the bubble shield back towards the back, you baord the mongoose in a much safer location, and be moving faster through the open area of the base, causing you to be less vulnerable to gunfire and grenades...

there is little strategy to team slayer.

That last game off assault just proved that.

CJ and I brought the bomb. You brought the bubble shield and held down the base. We won.

Tons of strategy in Halo. Even more strategy than in GRAW or Rainbow.

I find that hard to believe, but maybe I was just so soured on the 'Halo 2' online crap (with my inability to find weapons, get kills, and even move!).

Shoot me an invite or let's set up a time when I can try a fair game with the beta, or maybe get back into 'Halo 2'.

I just can't play with teabagging randoms!
