im not that excited about it either but im getting it at launch because i know i'll log tons of hours into the game for the next 2-3 years

I'm going to get the game on release, but I'm not losing any sleep over it. I'm most excited about all the multiplayer customization and hope we have some enterprising and creative OS'ers creating some fantastic game types.

Should be a fun multiplayer fixture until COD4 comes out.

I am way more excited about COD4 and I normally am not that into FPSs but COD 4 is the best shooter I have played in a long time.

I'll probably pick up Halo 3 after work on Tuesday. If COD4 was coming out the same day (or in the next week or so), I probably wouldn't get Halo until Christmas.
Never played the first Halo (I only got an Xbox 2 summers ago). Thought Halo 2's singleplayer was nothing special and kinda boring. Multiplayer is the reason I'm going to buy this game.

i LOVED Halo one co-op. Halo 2 was a big disappointment cuz i played as arbiter for half that damn game, at LEAST we could have done was play as Master C. in the last level. right now its like whatever for me to pick up this game. hopefully its a great game that will entertain me like Bioshock did.

i LOVED Halo one co-op. Halo 2 was a big disappointment cuz i played as arbiter for half that damn game, at LEAST we could have done was play as Master C. in the last level. right now its like whatever for me to pick up this game. hopefully its a great game that will entertain me like Bioshock did.

I didn't mind the arbiter, it was the halo 2 story that kinda thru me away from halo 2 and the end......i was so mad....lol. The online Co-Op is goin to be awsome. Hopefully I get a ride to the mall on the mid-night release. If not I will walk if I have to. I will be on it all that night and the next day.

That's the way I feel. I want it for the single player, not the MP.

I was that way, until I found out it had 4 player co-op. Now that's what I'm looking forward to the most.

Yep, I just hope it's the entire campaign, and not just bits and pieces. I've actually heard nothing about co-op, aside from the fact that it's 4 player co-op.

Man I remember when that halo 2 video came out that was gameplay. The one where you are in a pelican and they drop you off with a bunch of marines in a medical station. And at the end u r surrounded by elites with swords. I was like holy @!*# but then the game came out and was nothin like that video. I hope halo 3 is really goin to look like that campaign video of it that was released. I am so hyped for this game, and I want to do my costume. If I ever get a chance.

To me, the game was good up until that whole Arbiter thing. We played through feeling the Covenant was evil only to play as them? Meh that was disappointing for me. Some of my friends loved it, I hated it. I loved Halo, Halo 2 was good, not great. I'll pick up 3 when I have the chance. Halo just had this feeling of epic to it that Halo 2 lost on me as the game went on. I could remember the first time I encountered The Flood in my basement co-op with my buddy at 3 in the morning with the "what the **** is that?" going on, all of the craziness of the end of Halo. Then Halo 2 started out good and I couldn't get into the Arbiter thing.

I was so hyped for Halo 2, and it was a huge let down in my opinion. The original Halo is what got me back into gaming. I'd went awhile without a console (Dreamcast was the last console I had owned). When I got my original Xbox at launch, I got Halo, PGR3, and NFL Fever. Halo absolutely sucked me in, I played that game over, and over. Eventually got online with it via XboxConnect, and it was a blast for awhile.

I'm going into Halo 3 kind of like I did with Halo. Not really hyped, not expecting too much, just hoping for the best. I'm definately ready to finish the fight..

I'm only interested in the multiplayer, as the single player story is weak, always has been. It's hailed as an epic trilogy, when they really just half *** the single player and resell people on the multiplayer.

The ending even leaked onto youtube, and it's a letdown. They even have a loading screen during the ending cinematic. Not as horrible as the popup in the halo 2 cinematics I suppose though.

Cost isn't the question. Will they match your handbag and purse is what you're really asking yourself.
