Will not be taking any action against gamers playing Halo 3 before its official street date.
You won't be banned from LIVE for playing Halo 3 early
Following a memorable day which saw UK retailer Argos selling Halo 3 to consumers a week before release, and Microsoft seemingly willing to ban gamers from Xbox LIVE for playing the game, Microsoft has issued an official statement which should put the debacle to bed.
"We can confirm that Microsoft is not taking any action (such as banning Xbox Live accounts) against gamers who are playing Halo 3 before the official street date. Any rumours or speculation to the contrary are false," reads the statement issued by Microsoft this evening.
Halo 3 is scheduled for release in North America on September 25, across Europe on September 26 and in Japan on September 27.

The last 2 parts of the Forge FAQ are up. This thing is going to be amazing.
Part 2
Part 3
Part 2 talks about setting the spawn points for weapons and being able to change their respawn timers. Part 3 focuses on changing object locations in objective games (flag points in CTF, hill points in King of the Hill) and all the players spawn points in the game. I must be in the minority here for not caring two licks about the storyline but am interested in some big OS multiplayer action.
Like I said, I'll get through the single player (hopefully it's fairly short on like the last two) but the multiplayer is what I'm looking for Tuesday night.I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

Like I said, I'll get through the single player (hopefully it's fairly short on like the last two) but the multiplayer is what I'm looking for Tuesday night.Comment

Halo 3 Exclusive Q&A - The Construct Multiplayer Level
GS: What are some aspects of it that have impressed you now that it's done?
TG: The setting for the map evolved a lot from the first concepts, at various times being set floating in water or along a sort of monorail. At some point, the art direction was synched up with the setting of a campaign environment, and they switched over to the near final skybox. It completely changed the feel of the setting, and the vista from the front of the map still wows me.GS: How do you all like to play the level? Any tips for folks?
TG: When we're playing slayer, we like to take the high ground and defend the upper reaches of the map near the smaller lifts. There's a lot of room to move and choose your engagements there, and it takes a coordinated offense to root you out (which make for the best clashes, win or lose). It's also pretty exciting when a fusion coil pops out of the lift with a grenade right after it. It makes you move in a real hurry.

Anyway, I can't wait for midnight to roll around. I look forward to adding a lot of you to my friends for some massive online multiplayer. I hate playing with randoms. Too bad I'll probably end up hating a lot of you as well.Comment
